Introducing myself

Hi! I’m Laura (lady laura). I’m a single mom to a wonderful 15 year old son who I homeschool. I love the Lord, crafts, and food, among other things. I would tell you my weight if I knew what it was but I honestly don’t. I haven’t been on a scale in years.
I generally base my overall health and fitness by how much energy I have and how well my clothes fit (or don’t). Based on those things, I’m not doing so well lately. Lately being the last year or so =)
While I am not really “fluffy”, I have been before (plus sizes) and I don’t want to be there again. I reckon I stand to lose about 15 pounds, give or take.
Now is the time to nip this slow slide in the bud and I am really excited about this whole thing!

My daydreams:
~to fit into the cute clothes I already own that are hiding in the back of the closet
~to feel stronger and more energized
~to have self-control over what I eat and when, using wisdom as my guide instead of my mood

Oh, and I gots me a blog. Oh, and I don’t know if I will be following any specific diet plan, but I will look into what the rest of you are doing and see.

This is going to be so great. Thanks to Blest and Leann for the great idea and work to put it all in motion!

(Did I forget anything?)

  1. Oh c’mon Laura, we have to add “Catch the eye of that perfect Godly man” to the list… But then, if he won’t have his eye caught without your losing a few pounds - he’s not perfect anyway! (ha!)

Glad you’re with us, Lady. You know I love ya!

  2. How about catch the eye of a godly man who is a Marine and looks like Dermot Mulroney. Oh yeah baby!

  3. Hi Laura! You’re wise to want to get on top of this before it gets out of hand. If only I’d done that, oh, say a few years ago?
