Hey everybody, with Blest on the road this blog seems to be lacking a regular contributor, so I’ll have to see what I can do about that…
I’ve just been putting up some of our cards - one of the first Christmas decorations that have actually got up this year so far. What with trying to empty the loft so that we could have a new roof put on before Christmas (or so it was originally planned) and all being put at work things like shopping and decorating got put on hold till school broke up. That was today, so from now on my Mum will be at home, I’ve got one more day looking after little boy, but that’s fairly flexible.
My Mum and sister are both out tonight at Christmas meals so I thought it would be a nice surprise for them when they come late tonight to see the cards up. I just hope they don’t make too much noise and wake me up! My Dad and I have also finished up our yearly round robin newsletter, printed it and stuffed it in all the cards. We haven’t actually sealed them yet as we thought we’d better check it got my Mum’s approval! Things finally seem to be getting in the Christmas mood.
I’m off to bed now (it’s got too late already really as I was trying to get an early night, but I couldn’t go without posting something on here, it was looking in need of a new post - not that wishing Leann a Happy Birthday wasn’t important )
I’ll just leave you with this question - Where are you and what are you doing? I know you’re probably all busy busy busy, but just leave a short comment so we can see some of the exciting things each of us is doing, and not forget each other at this busy period when we need all the support we can get Oh, and let us know if there’s anything particular we could pray for you over the next couple of weeks too (Especially remember Blair and her family as they get sorted out with all the packing and moving)
Debs, you are sweetness itself, I do declare.
I am at my computer at the moment. It’s a desktop and not a laptop which is why I am with IT instead of it being with ME. The computer is also in my boudoir, so I am also there. And I live practically smack dab in the middle of a state which is practically smack dab in the middle of a country, so I am also there.
I am also in place called Done with Christmas Making and Shopping. And I must say it is a very nice place to be.
I am waiting for my last wee one to go home so I can get some dinner. Seriously looking forward to that! Then to reading a bit, and coaxing my son to finish his Christmas wrapping so I can get that darn-blasted box out of my living room.

I’ve been: at the orthodonist, ballet lessons, Tae Kwon Do practice, at the Nutcracker, at the movies, wrapping presents in front of the TV (anyone else out there just LOVE Monarch of the Glen?), baking, throwing a 10th birthday party for my daughter and then taking said daughter to get her ears pierced, trying a new church, wiping runny noses, more baking, more wrapping, taking kids shopping at the dollar store for their gifts to each other and Grandmama and Papa…
Did I leave anything out? I don’t think so. Thanks for asking, Debs! And Happy Christmas to you!

I have been to the MailRoom - to ship off two packages — one to Iraq and one to Kuwait. to the grocery — to Steven’s job site twice — all that and I forgot to go to the gas station. I must do that and get an oil change tomorrow.
I must wrap Christmas gifts sometime between now and Saturday — catch up on laundry, find my living room, pack. and and and……
Make Stephanie tell you her news………….she went to the dr today……….

Oh?! Is it a boy?!!! I’ll go check her blog!
I’m sitting on another hotel couch catching up….I’m never too far away, y’know! I’m hungry. But oh well. And I need to get my jammies on. Maybe, just maybe the boys will get to sleep at a decent hour tonight. Sharing a hotel room amongst the six of us is not the best way to be well rested.

I have been: finishing up work to go to the parents’ house for the holidays, trying to get my place clean before leaving, watching all of the Harry Potter movies (in order), present shopping/wrapping.
Oh — and I decided to buckle down and give Weight Watchers a try — I joined yesterday! So that’s also the beginning of a big push to actually change.

We have just returned home tonight to a wonderfully lit, warm and rather empty house. We’ve been staying with friends the last couple of days while our power has been out. I guess it came back on at 11pm last night. But we spent the night there anyway and decided to go skiing today. It was a nice diversion.
Tomorrow, however, is gonna be busy! I’ve lost several days of baking, card making and whatnot. Plus, we had to completely empty our frig, so there will be grocery shopping to do as well. And the freezer things that were salvagable went with us to our friends house. I’d feel better cooking up that stuff in the next few days to make sure we aren’t keeping spoiled meat in the freezer.
Thanks Debs for picking up the slack! You’re the best!
Merry Christmas to everyone.

((hugs)) Debs - thank you for the prayers and “Happy Christmas” to ya dear
I had a minute to get on here and thought I’d see what you gals are up to….wow, everyone is sooooo busy.
Where I’m at is in my bedroom What we’ve been doing? Let’s see….guzzling water and popping pain killers to flush out this stone, offering comfort and understanding to a cousin who miscarried this week, looking for and securing an apt for hubby in baltimore (cheaper than a hotel), wrapping gifts, making ornaments, took the kids to look at Christmas lights, planning trip for Bryan’s birthday (need to get flowers), troubleshooting computer issues for my mom, organizing mom’s birthday, writing assignments, spent a little time working on new look for my site/blog, regular cleaning, laundry, meals, watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music, sorting through donation items (need to get those turned in), planning the move logistics, working on budgetary changes (or at least trying to estimate the changes), researching independant insurance plans…
So yeah, have a bit on our minds at the moment Praying you gals have a wonderful time!

I see Maria was sharing secrets above. Yes, we found out we’re having girl #3 yesterday! A little shocked as we really thought this was a boy just based on the huge difference I had had in pregnancy symptoms … but it’s all good and we’re now working on names - finally!
