There’s one more thing you’ve got to do….you know what it is!!
Do It OWOA!!
Let’s see…we need a game in our weigh-in today… I think I’ll steal one from The Thinklings. It’s a quote game. The way it works is I’ll put a quote in the comments. Whoever goes next puts up a quote - but it MUST have a word in common with the previous quote. For example:
“What do we love? PAIN!” from the movie Say Anything can be followed by “Pain is weakness leaving the body” from the Marine Corps. Which could be followed by “She only wants me for my body” from Cars. See what I mean? Try not to use easy words like The or Is or junk like that! And you can use movies, books, song lyrics, Bible verses… Just as long as it’s a quote.
Ready, set, go!
Okay… first quote:
“The lady of the lake, her arm clad in purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water thereby signifying by divine providence that I Arthur was to carry Excalibur. That is why I’m your king!”
Ought to be some good possibilities in that!
Oh - and you can play more than once and you don’t have to be weighing in to play. Though you do need to weigh in. I’ll weigh in later…

Okay, can I use your word providence and change it’s form to provedential? If so here’s a quote
“Anne will be the very girl for her. I call it positively provedential.”

If not here’s another.
“I shall call it -let me see-the Lake of Shining Waters. Yes, that is the right name for it. I know because of the thrill. When I hit on a name that suits exactly it gives me a thrill. Do things ever give you a thrill?”

Oh, I need to weigh in
212/185/145

No changing the words! So go with the second one. Great choice, by the way!!

Well… I hear crickets!!
Okay, let’s see. First I weigh in at 130.8
Next. I’m using shining
“Lord, the light of your love is shining, in the midst of the darkness shining, Jesus light of the world shine upon us, set us free by the truth you now bring us. Shine on me….shine on me!!”
Comment by blestwithsons — August 20, 2007 @ 9:02 am |Edit This
Weighing in at 142 today, down 2 from last week.
Using light and in a total departure from holiness:
“Come on baby, light my fire.”

144/124.5/120ish
up .5
using “baby”
“Hush little baby, don’t say a word. Mama’s gonna buy you a mocking bird.”
(BTW it’s sooooo cute to hear Abby sing that song and make it up as she goes along…)
Comment by Brandi — August 20, 2007 @ 10:10 am |Edit This
Oooh…. using HUSH.
“Hush, keep it down now. Voices carry.”

Now
“Hold me now, woh oh oh, hold my heart. Stay with me. Let lovin’ start” Thompson Twins, dontcha know.

Where be all da people?
LOVIN’
“You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling, Ohhhh that lovin’ feeling. You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling, now it’s gone, gone, gone. Whoa-whoa-oh.”

330/302/150
Down by one.
“Toto I have a FEELING we not in Kansas any more.”
Comment by Kellie — August 20, 2007 @ 2:08 pm |Edit This
Hmmmm… Not many choices there. Nothing springs to mind with Toto or Kansas…
I guess I’ll do Any and More too for that matter
“L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very very extraordinary
E is even MORE than ANY one that you adore…”
And it only counts if it’s sung by Nat King Cole - not that modern remade-by-some-chick-who-couldn’t-sing abomination I heard at Target the other day.

“Age, I do abhor thee, youth, I do adore thee.”
Shakespeare! Not that I knew that or anything, I had to do a search. Have I mentioned I’m turning 30 this year?
Oh, 216/203.6/150
I can’t remember my exact weight from last Monday, but I think it was around 207, so down about 3.5.

“For sixty years the ring lay quiet in Bilbo’s keeping, prolonging his life, delaying old AGE…”

231.5/187.5/160
Down 1/2. Better than up 1/2.
“Will you still need me … will you still feed me … when I’m SIXTY four?”

“She looked at my pump and she made a magic sign, She said ‘what you NEED is Love potion #9!’”

“Oh, NOTHING can happen more than once,
But all things must happen one day
Over hill and dale, over wood and stream,
My dying voice will blow away…”

264/245.8/130 (short term goal is -20 lbs.) - 18.2 lbs lost so far.
264/243.6/130 - minus 20.4 lbs so far.
I MADE MY SHORT TERM GOAL OF 20 lbs!!!! I’m so psyched. I’m so excited. I’m going to keep moving on down! I need a new short term goal - I’m picking 239 - which will be 25 lbs lost, and the first time I’ve been in the 230s in 3 years.
And I’ll pick ONE -
“Better is one day in your courts
better is one day in your house
better is one day in your courts
than thousands elsewhere.”
song lyrics of one of my favorite praise songs
Comment by Tracy — August 20, 2007 @ 7:38 pm |Edit This
oops - the top line is my weigh in from two weeks ago - so I could see how much weight I’d lost since my last official weigh in (missed last week due to my getaway with my dd.). I lost 2.2 lbs in 2 weeks. Not much, but as long as that number keeps going down, I’m totally excited.

You’re the real thing
Yeah the real thing
You’re the real thing
Even better than the real thing

I have no idea what my weight is. I’m staying off the scales.
Whenever a Very Bouncy Animal arrives
in the forest and you are told he has
just come, the THING you should ask is:
“When is he going?” — speaking of Tigger

YAY TRACY!!!!!! You go girl!
Comment by blestwithsons — August 21, 2007 @ 6:26 am |Edit This
207.5/156.5/120ish
I’m up a half a lb. I just started working with weights in addition to cardio. I think I’ve lost inches even though I didn’t lose lbs. Hopefully the scale will catch up this week…

Very late, and not weighing in, but..
The wonderful thing about TIGGERs, is Tiggers are wonderful things. Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of string.
