If you feel inclined to gobble

Stand fast, stand firm

Oh please don’t wobble!

Don’t o’erindulge

on potatoes or jerky

Cause if you do…

You’ll feel like a turkey!!

Okay - it’s not fine art. But what do you expect?

It’s the pre-Thanksgiving Weigh In!! Gimme those numbers and tell me what you’re thankful for!

I’m up 1 pound but I really expect to see it go by tomorrow a.m or Wednesday at the latest. AF was 7 days late and finally decided to come along this morning. Let me tell you how prego my tummy looks at this moment. I really am figuring I’ll be down several pounds due to this bloat.

I am thankful for a little girl that is so girly. Would you believe that I was scared of it while I was pregnant with her?! I am thankful that God gave me a little one that loves every single thing that her momma makes for her. I’m thankful that she stands at my side touching and exclaiming “pretty, pretty”. I’m also thankful for the financial ability to be able to do things such as sewing and knitting for her.

  2. Oh happy day, oh happy day.
Can you tell I’m happy?! For so long I’ve had a mental and physical block of 260, and I just weighed myself, and i have totally blown past it.
    294/258.8/260 (stgwitp)
(stgwitp = short term goal which I’ve totally passed!)

    New short term goal 250.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to be here with blest and her family and to be meeting lots of other OWOA-ers too.

Last week was a rough week. My mother was here visiting. There was too much eating and not enough exercise. But now that she has gone home, that should change this week.

I am SO thankful for God’s word. It has been encouraging and correcting me lately.

Down three this week, despite only getting to the gym and not always sticking to what I ought to. Curious. Anyway, even more reason to stick to it this week.

I’m thankful for good friends and fun.

    (ooh and yay Debs!)

No change. I went off plan and ate quite a bit of sugar this week!

I am thankful that my husband will be home in less than a month.

  13. Hearing about all the losses is exciting! Way to go, everyone!

I had to check back in and tell you about my friend, Melissa. She’s my friend here at work I started South Beach with. She’s lost 20 POUNDS!!!! And I’m actually not the least bit jealous that I’ve only lost 12 in the same amount of time! I’m so proud of her! In fact, the pants she’s wearing today are falling off of her! How exciting is that?! Not necessarily for any students that might see a bit too much of their teacher, but for HER!

Ok, back to work. I apologize for my overuse of exclamation marks; I’m just so darn excited! 20 pounds! And that’s ’cause we haven’t even started our exercise regime yet!

  14. 138.2. I’ve held fairly steady these last few weeks with minimal effort. I needed the inside impetus to get back on the horse, and I think I’ve got it. Am heading back to WW meetings after Thanksgiving. I am thankful for beautiful hymmns that remind me about God. And so many more things!

  16. 168.2
Actually up 1 this week but not really bothered as goal was 168. I shall start to worry if I get near 170 again.
Yay Debs and Bekki and Nikki - great that you can fit in the wedding dress. Well done Debbie and sharing your excitement for your friend. Keep hanging in there Jana and Tami. Especially Tami you are so near goal. Well done everyone else for your honesty in checking in if nothing else but noone is doing that bad that I can see.
I am thankful the encouragement of this blog - it really helped me to get where I am today.
I am thankful for the internet so that even though Debs is far away from home I can hear all her news etc.
I am thankful for the friends that God has given me and for my husband who loves me whatever.

Down 1/2. That’s better than up 1/2. ;-) I’m thankful that I’m not at 231.5 like I was last Thanksgiving.

  21. I’m thankful for all of you!!

I’m VERY thankful that Debs is here!

I’m thankful for my wonderful family, my home, my husband’s steady job, modern technology (gotta love the internet and iPods!), my jewelry business, and music and much more!

And I’m thankful I overcame a 90 point deficit to beat Debs at our first game of Scrabble. It’s not about beating Debs, mind you, it’s about beating the deficit.

up .5 from last week, but the other day I was actually down 1 from last week. Decided that I have to try harder to not stray from plan, even for a nibble. Although I’ve been warned not to weigh at night as well as morning, I just can’t help myself, and am encouraged that even at night, I’m still much less than when I began three weeks ago.

I’m thankful for second chances, my crazy puppy, my husband, and my family and friends who are always there for me, even when I forget. I’m thankful for a changed outlook on many areas in my life, for the chance to always do better, and to live in a country where I have to choose NOT to eat too much or the wrong things. Many blessings to you all for a Happy Thanksgiving!
