  1. So I really don’t want to report today. Especially since I am the first one. GRRRR. Can I get out of it? Just this one little Monday?

Hey, my friend is going to weigh in with us this week. I hope that is fine with all of you. She is a peach. You’re gonna love her. She just started the beach this weekend.

Yeah, well I guess its time to report my 1st gain…Up 3! I know! I think it must have been too many healthy carbs and not enough veggies! I am going to lose 4 pounds this week. Then I will be the same weight as when I got married! Oh yeah! I was only 1 lb away last week!!! I am going to be sooooo good this week. Hold me to it!

  3. 210/149.4/145

Down 1.4 and check it out people - I’m in the 140s!!

I’m going to be sending a bunch of recipes to my mom (who will be helping my grandmother make Thanksgiving dinner) so that I know there will be something I can eat when I get there. Gran’s usual T’giving fare just won’t work.

  4. 130. Still.

Halloween for us is the annual go-out-to-dinner-to-avoid-handing-out-candy night. There will not be any bite size candies in our house. But they are everywhere else - work, Bible Study, the office supply store - and it’s very hard to walk a wide circle around them. I confess that I often cave in.

  5. 200/170.2/160

Up 2.4, I think. Grrr. Too many second helpings and cheats.
At least I’m doing better on the exercise front. I met my goal of some exercise everyday and going to the gym once last week. This week, I aim to go to the gym on Wednesday and Friday. I’ve just had a session with a trainer to help me put together an exercise program and it was hard work, but good to set some goals and give me a framework.

  7. 137.8 this week. Which is 1.8 down from last week. I still think part of it is water-water-everywhere, since I flew yesterday… but I’m happy with a loss! Am slowly jumping back on board. Happy Monday to all!

  9. 128.8

Fighting off ridiculous amts of bloat. Last week I went up seven pounds from Monday to Tuesday… I looked so pregnant! I think it’s related to my surgery (as in swelling)- cause there’s also been quite a bit of pain/discomfort. Have I been to the doctor? Uh..no. After all, they’ll just say “Hmmm. That’s odd. Come back if it gets worse.” Phooey!

I am at a convention right now where there are sugary snacks EVERYWHERE!!!!!

It is not a temptation at ALL…actually sounds yucky because I’ve got that junk out of my system. Sugar is of he devil :-)

And this is coming from a former sugar-addict who last year by this time (day 2 of the Convention) had probably had a few donuts, cookies and candy bars…not to mention the salty snacks like chips. Yes, it was sad.

  11. 239.8/215.4/207 (by Thanksgiving)
I’m down .8 from my last weigh in 2 weeks ago.

Kind of frustrating because I’ve been working out hard and trying to not snack. I’ve done pretty good although I have eaten some candy here and there BUT I try to make up for it with working out. Anyways, I’ll take the .8 loss. Last week I was up so I didn’t oficially weigh in. I had gone on a scrapbooking retreat over the weekend and I ate aweful. So when I got back I got back on Phase 1 with my husband.

My goal for Thanksgiving is 207 and that’s still attainable…IF I STAY COMPLETELY ON TRACK!

So, I’ve got another week of Phase 1 with my husband. I WILL stick to it! My hubbie lost 9 lbs!

  12. 168/154/130… Down 2!!

I think I’ll be OK thru Halloween..I’m a little nervous about cheating..don’t want the whole upset tummy thing!

I’ll be prepared with South Beach snack bars just in case I’m tempted!!

Blest..You should really go get checked out at the Dr..but you already know that? :) Hope you feel better!

  16. 168 exactly which is goal again although up .8 from last week. Quite pleased with that though considering it was half term week (more chance to be around food) and we had a couple of days away with some very ‘not south beach’ food comsumed.

Actually Brandi’s comment reminded me that at our bed and breakfast place I found the marmalade or jam on offer with the toast just too sweet. They didn’t have any marmite (yeast extract - do you have that in US?) which I fancied so I bought myself some for the second morning!

Well done all who lost and well done for those who were confessing this week, we value the honesty. Blest please look after yourself properly and do what is necessary re medic’s.

  17. 241.2. Up a bit. But exercise has been going well, so that’s a small blessing.

Discouraged about everything in life, but will keep trying.

  19. Tami, what does (stg) stand for?
Tracy, you may have just built more muscle so try not to be discouraged. Its a new week. Moving your body is really important, so its great you are able to incorporate that a lot!

  20. Nikki, I think stg stands for short term goal. At least, that’s would I would use it to mean!

  21. Thanks Debs! I’m a bit dence! In more than one area!!!

  22. 232/223.8/149

It’s going a bit slow, but it’s going, I guess. But after running around the science museum, and then the park, with 21 kindergarteners today, I’m SURE I dropped a couple more pounds!

All the Halloween candy doesn’t frighten me. I’ve almost become immune. Ever since last school year I could keep a jar/box of candies right next to my desk and eat maybe one a week, if that!

    Comment by Debbie (Bird's sis) — October 29, 2007 @ 4:26 pm |Edit This

  23. Oh, and about marmite, Elly: you can find it here in the States if you’re looking for it, but it is by no means in high demand. It’s always included in the section of the grocery store that has British foods. At least where I live; it’s a very diverse city.

  24. 182.75/175.25/135

down .75 for a total of 7.5 in six weeks.

    Comment by Maria — October 29, 2007 @ 7:19 pm |Edit This

  25. They say about marmite you either love it or you hate it. Since I’m in the hate category I won’t need to worry about buying it once I’m there! But it’s interesting to know what stuff is the same and what’s different. I think food stuff (shopping, but even just looking in Blest’s pantry) will be an eye-opener the first few times with all the unfamiliar brand names!

  26. 153/142/128 - No change from two weeks ago when I last weighed in, which is a little discouraging since I feel like I’m getting so close to the 130s, and yet I should be thankful because it wasn’t a good two weeks. Spent several days at my parents’ and I tend to eat constantly when I’m there - not sure if it’s just the availability of food I don’t have to make, or if it’s stress over various issues in our family, I don’t know.

Nikki - you can do it!! You know it will feel so great to be at that weight once again!

    Jana - you’re so close!
