  1. 168/159/130. Down 1.

It is time to get my rear in gear and up the working out some. We have been so busy lately that it has taken a back seat..but I am going for a nice long walk-jog before work today. :)

    AT GOAL!

I celebrated this morning by having a few raisins in my oatmeal. I know that’s just how Blest likes it ;-) I’m so wild and crazy! :-)

Thanks so much ladies. I seriously could not have done it without my OWOA sisters and of course my handsome Bird-man.

  4. Way to go Brandi!!!!!

153/142/128 - I was surprised to see a loss this morning as I was feeling ‘fat’ this week, not sure why. Too many nights where I had a bowl of cereal before bed, I suspect. *Ü* Even with the loss I think I need to refocus a bit this week and not allow myself so many ‘treats’ like I did this week. Didn’t help that I made buns for a dinner with friends this week…there’s nothing like homemade buns!!

I wish it would be in the 80s, Blest!! It’s a high in the low 50s today, and that’s warmer than it could be! Gotta love northern living!

  5. Wow Brandi! Congratulations!!!!!! I’m so excited for you. As for me…Not so much. No change yet again. 190/169/150 again. That is 2 weeks that has had no change. I guess I have had a few too many pumpkin muffins. Oh but they are so good! Thanks for that recipe by the way Blest!

On a happy note, people keep talking about how my clothes are falling off of me. I have had a few people tell me to go buy new pants! That always feels good. And my husband refers to me as skinny lady sometimes. I gotta say, I love to hear him say that!!!

I will be done with my wonderful newspaper route Wednesday night, and look forward to getting on the treadmill after that.

  6. 151/139/132 135.
Down… 3(?) since last official weigh in, I think. And I have changed my goal weight. Since I just kinda picked a number that seemed right, or maybe I weighed that before my son was born nearly 17(!) years ago, I feel free to change my mind. :) I am actually very happy with my body right now, even if I never reach 135.

  9. Yay, Brandi! When are you guys publishing an artistically photographed cook book?

    Lady Laura, you’re awesome, too!

Dawn & Christy still going down like an elevator!

Blest, it hurts when you kick booty, huh?

Nikki, so glad to hear you’re getting relieved from the route. Less stress will make the weight roll off!

Okay, no weighing for me, yet - so I reserve the right to cheer! But I can tell you that Back-To-Phase-One is going well. This time, I’m indulging in the sugar free jello, and that certainly helps the carb-withdrawal. I wasn’t really eating many carbs before - but they definitely had the best of me. I am hopeful that my weigh-in for the first Monday of November will be phenomenal!

    Good Day!

  10. Well done Brandi!

I have not done so well. 200/169.8/160
Up 1.4, I think. That would be the result of eating too much pudding on my birthday. There are still too many cake and chocolate things around, which I’m working on getting rid of (i.e. getting other people to take them away/eat them up so I won’t).
On the positive side, I’ve just got back from my induction session at the uni gym. It was very scary, I’ve never joined a gym before. Now I have at least been inside one and been on some of the machines. It’s still a bit intimidating, too many sporty guys around doing things with weights. Which is more self-conscious-making than distracting. I’ve booked a session in a couple of weeks time to work out a training program. I hope I can get over my fear, learn some new stuff and start continue getting fitter and thinner.

  16. 239.8/216.2/207 by Thanksgiving (Nov.22)

    Down .4

I’m a little frustrated. I *think* I did good all week (I say think since I didn’t journal what I ate) except for the weekend and I still only lost .4

I really *think* I did good all week but on Saturday evening I caved into some candy corn and on Sunday we went to the Pumpkin Patch and afterwards we went to Red Robin where I had a grilled chicken burger and fries and then went home and had more candy corn and kettle corn. :( So, I was BAAAAAD on Sunday. BUT I worked out SOOOOooooo hard during the week. On Monday I did 2 spin cycle classes, on Tue/Wed/Thur I did a Tone&Sculpt class and on Thursday I also went before T&S and did 45 min cardio, on Friday I did a sports conditioning class and on Saturday I did a spin cycle class AND a tone and sculpt class.

It really is so frustrating because I work out so hard. I think I have a slow metabolism. I went for a check up last week and I had the Dr test my thyroid, so I’ll be tempted to see how that test comes back (I’ve always heard that that can play a part with your slow metabolism). On the one hand, I hope that’s what it is so that I know why I have such a hard time getting the scale to go down, but on the other hand, I probably don’t want to have thyroid problems.

I have a heart rate monitor that sits in my drawer since the batteries ran out, but I think I’m going to get it going again and start wearing it again to see how I’m
    doing.

Anyways, hopefully next week will be better. Although I’m leaving town Fri-Sun for a scrapbook retreat, so I sure do hope the B&B we’re staying at has some healthy options.

  17. Oh…and I also did 45 min cardio on Sunday..30 min elliptical and 15 min treadmill and I jogged 4.5 minutes!

    Grrrrrr…..

    Comment by Cristina — October 15, 2007 @ 12:41 pm |Edit This

  18. Christina, you could be working out too much compared to what you are eating. Another note…if I ate what you had on Sat evening and Sun I would hold so much water that I would gain between 3 and 5 pounds for a few days but if I was VERY faithful to eating healthily and drinking LOTS of water I will loose it within a few days.

    Comment by Tami — October 15, 2007 @ 1:08 pm |Edit This

  19. Yay, Brandi and Lady Laura!!!

Kellie- you have already lost 30 pounds! That’s a huge accomplishment. Don’t give up, even though I know it’s discouraging.

    As for me,
    216/196/150

That’s up like .4 from two weeks ago at my last weigh in. I was horrified to come home from my trip last week to see a 5-pound gain, when I thought I had done good enough to lose one or two!!! So that gain will be gone by tomorrow morning, which is like 5 pounds in one week, but still, it evens out to a two-week stall in loss :(

    Comment by Christy — October 15, 2007 @ 1:24 pm |Edit This

  20. Hi Tami, I know…it could be water retention and I really really hope that’s what it is. You mentioned that I could be working out too much compared to what I’m eating but if that were the case, wouldn’t I loose? That’s what I think, although obviously I’m wrong. My husband says he notices a difference and that I look thinner and that I’m probably gaining muscle…which is probably true…but I still want those numbers on the scale to go down!

    Comment by Cristina — October 15, 2007 @ 1:32 pm |Edit This

  21. Up 1.2 this week to 169.2 but hey I expect to hover around my goal rather than stick there completely. Put it down to Bekki’s party at the weekend.

Well done Brandi, so excited for you enjoy those raisins. And Laura too, glad you are happy with your body.

Nikki I am so proud of you that you have made it through this awful paper round and kept going on the diet. Glad the end is in sight now.
Kellie keep hanging in there. We are cheering you on.
Congrats to everyone else too. I think I get a bit confused with the names sometimes. We have Cristina, Christy F and Christy! I think that’s three of you. Forgive me if I am wrong. Will get you sorted one day.

    Comment by Elly — October 15, 2007 @ 1:44 pm |Edit This

  22. Christina, you are gaining muscle weight.
As for working so much, not eating enough so the thought that you should loose weight…wrong train of thought. If you are not getting enough food your body goes into starvation mood and starts to hold onto EVERYTHING you put into your mouth. It sounds crazy but I swear it’s the truth (personal experience and much research).
Don’t give up. Journal what you are eating. Maybe try to increase some protien after workouts.

  23. Tami, thanks so much…that makes sense to me! I’ve already started journaling today…so I’ll keep it up! Thanks again!

    Now, on to me:

  30. Kellie - don’t quit! I know it’s hard! Believe me! I didn’t even weigh in this morning because I’ve been sick and didn’t want to see it, but I’m. NOT. GOING. TO. QUIT.

So you don’t quit either! Keep taking it one moment at a time - I KNOW how hard it is when thyroid isn’t in the right gear. I know how hard it is to lose just a little at a time and feel like it’s going to be forever. But every day is a victory if we keep trying!

    So please - don’t quit!

  31. I tried weighing in earlier, but it didn’t post; so let’s try this again. Here’s my comment from this afternoon:

Ok, this is my first weigh in ever so I’m a bit nervous, but here it goes:

    232/227.8/149

Eeeekkk!!! Can’t believe I just did that!

So I forgot to weigh myself last Monday when I started SB Phase I, but the starting weight is from Tues morning.

I was going to put 150 as goal but 145 has been stuck in my head, so I just decided to put 149 ’cause it looks a bit better than 150 but not as impossible as 145. Not that I’m fully convinced that 149 is possible, but we shall see . . .

So there we go. Hopefully I’ll get my friend Melissa to weigh in with us later. I look forward to getting to know you ladies!

  38. 185/174.5/145

Down 1 from last week. I’m glad to see the continued downward trend. I changed over from Phase 1 to Phase 2 this last week. It was harder to go from knowing all the things I couldn’t eat to changing to all the good things that I can choose from and trying to decide how much of each to add back.

I am frustrated that I hurt my foot and I haven’t been able to work out this week. I sprained my toe (next to the baby toe) last Sunday. It never bruised like when I’ve broken a toe in the past. Now only my foot is hurting. It hurts on the top of my foot where my toe attaches on up into my foot. Now I’m trying to decide if I need to go in to see the doctor or not. I really want to get back to my exercise routine, but I’m concerned that I won’t be able to work out for 4-6 weeks. Sigh!

Anyway, I’m cheering for those that have reached their goal as well as for those that need some inspiration!
    Go Team Go!

    Blessings, D’Aun

  39. Ok, I can’t be on the computer long enough to write a post, so I had better weigh in.
I’m at 267.8 which is up lots from 2 weeks ago. I have a post I need to write about it. Maybe tomorrow..?
