Edamame Me!

Okay… so I traveled all the way to Colorado Springs to go to a grocery store. But not just any grocery store. Tonight I got to play in a Whole Foods Market! I love that store! I got tahini, finally. So I can make authentic hummus when I get home. And I got some good coffee (hotel coffee not so good, yes?). I bought a frozen entree made by Kashi to try for lunch tomorrow. It looks really good - and VERY healthy. I also bought my favorite candy bar (gasp!) to be eaten in tiny pieces over the next month or two. It’s an Endangered Species Tiger Bar. Dark chocolate with roasted espresso beans…oh yeah baby! Dark chocolate is actually allowed on South Beach - in small quantities. This bar is so rich and decadent that a little square is all I can handle.

But what I really wanted to tell you about was these—> wasabi.jpg Dry Roasted Edamame with Wasabi! Ohhhh man! These things are awesome!! And check out this label…

  2. edamame is soy beans. Count me out. But you don’t want to get me started on the horrors of soy.

I am so jealous that you got to go to a whole foods market! The closest one to me is 90 minutes away, and I’m hoping to make the trip soon! It has such awesome stuff!

  3. Yes- roasted soy beans. And Wasabi is Japanese horseradish - so it definitely has a bite! But that’s the way - uh huh uh huh - I like it - uh huh uh huh! They also have lightly salted if you aren’t into spice.

  6. Sounds like you’re trying all kinds of new stuff! I tend to get stuck in a rut with my eating and I think I probably need to branch out a bit more.

I have started keeping the really dark chocolate on hand but I don’t have it every day (about once a week maybe).
