So, I got to see my cousins, who I only see once a year. Everyone was oohing and ahing over my weight loss and it felt good!
Then my cousin Amy walked in. She’s lost 100 pounds after gastric bypass surgery. Needless to say, no one mentioned my weight loss again!! That’s okay, though. I’m really happy for her, and she looks great, even with about 80 more pounds to go. So she can have my SPUNKS. 
Aw man! There ought to be a rule about things like that! Only one weight loser should be allowed at any gathering!
I got lucky - my sister-in-law, who has also lost a lot of weight, couldn’t come to the Christmas Eve gathering for my hubby’s clan…sick kid. Besides, she’s already gotten fussed over - she lives in the area. 
Color me selfish, but I enjoyed having the oohs and ahs all to myself! hee hee hee
