Hi! I’m Lorri and have struggled with weight off and on all my life. Now that I’m a mom (DD is 14 months old), it’s really important to me that I don’t pass on my bad eating habits to her. Which means, of course, that I must change them myself! Easier said than done. Losing 15 pounds will put me back to my pre-pregnancy weight, losing 60 will put me at a healthy weight.
Right now I’m tracking food with SparkPeople, and struggling with working exercise in to my days. I’ve considered joining Weight Watchers, but not sure we can swing it on just one income. So, any accountability that I can find is good. I’m trying to incorporate prayer more into my health efforts as well. Emotional eating is one of my big downfalls, and I’m hoping to find Godly ways to deal with those times.
Goals:
- To get to a healthy weight (hopefully before our next pregnancy)
- Make healthy eating and exercise a habit
- Get to the point where I don’t feel “entitled” to eat poorly or be lazy
Glad to join you all on this journey!
Hey, Lorrie. I am glad you mentioned Sparklepeople. I had heard about it but couldn’t remember the name… to google I go.
Glad to journey with you!
