I must interupt our regularly scheduled brodcast…
Lady Laura said something about Mr. Darcy and I just have to say….sigh.
I finally watched both the A&E and the other version of Pride and Predjudice. I so need both. I watched the other version 2x the first day. It was on HBO one day and I like it so much I asked dear husband to watch with me that night when it was on again. I’ve so got to splurge and get them.
Speaking of splurging. Could y’all keep us in your prayers. Jeff just received notification that Sprint will be laying off 5,000 people this year. No one is safe.
I’m praying, and off to bed - it’s gone 11pm and I got distracted. Should have been in bed hours ago!
Big hugs xx

I don’t know which version I’ve seen to be honest - how sad is that? Anyway - the one I saw was REALLY REALLY long and we watched part of it at my moms. When we left my cousin let us borrow the tapes since we hadn’t seen it. It was late when we got home and MY HUSBAND requested that we finish watching it right then lol!! So we did.
We will definitely be praying for you guys. We know what it’s like waiting to see if you’ll be the one. ((HUGS))

Blair, that would have been the practically-perfect A&E version. The new one is with Keira Knightly, and is not nearly so lovely or sigh-worthy.
Tami, try Half.com or other online stores that sell used. That is where I have bought all my Jane Austen movies, of which I have.. ahem, several. And I will be praying for you and hubby.

Tami - I own both versions. I liked the Keira Knightley version when I first watched it - but that was before I read the book and then watched the A&E version. I still think it’s ok, but nothing compared to the “real” one.
And I will be praying, also.

Ahhhhh, P&P. One of my all time favorite movies (A&E version of course!). My husband has a hard time understanding English accents, but indulges me now and then. I’ll watch it with my girls during the day while their dad is at work. I also really like “Sense & Sensibility”. I watch it when I don’t have hours to watch P&P.
Sorry to hear about the job situation. I think job security vanished with our parents generation. Said a prayer for you.

I have the Keira Knightly version, and can’t wait to see the A&E since I’ve heard so many great things about it. I’ll have to get it first, though!
Sorry about your dh’s job situation. I said a prayer, too.
