(girlish squeal!!!!!) Oh - I’m so embarassed. I thought I was too cool to squeal like that. (blest assumes extremely laid back and totally hip pose) So…(she says casually)…do tell…
I have a lot to be thankful for, but what comes to mind right now is the success that my dear, dear hubby has had with “losing the fattie” as he calls it Seriously, I am so happy for him and for this site that has been instrumental in this blessing. Thanks ladies!!
I actually weighed last night, but I was down 2 so I’m taking it. I’m thankful that I am home all day today with my three little girls and we’re not leaving the house at all!
I am so embarrassed! I almost didn’t comment because I am so embarrassed! 185/186/160. Yes you read right. I weigh more than I did when I started. So much for vacationing. Its fattening!!! Well this is all a good reason to hop to it again. And I need to do a lot of hopping!
There are so many things that I am thankful for, but today I am thankful for my husband. Yesterday was our 7th anniversary. Pretty exciting!
I was “spunked” about 4 different times this weekend!!! One from an old friend (”you’re looking great—what are you doing?”) one from DH’s grandma (”you’re sure slimming down, girl!”) one from my tiny SIL (”That shirt makes you look skinny”) one from a friend at church (”You’re losing while nursing—wow!”) AND I bought some new linen skirts at a regular store that looked really nice! That’s motivation!!
I am so thankful for my family and for the blessing God has given me in being a mother. I have two sisters-in-law who at this point are unable to conceive and it breaks my heart. Makes me feel so blessed to have three darling little boys!!
No change this week. We just got back from a weekend trip to the Creation Museum, and though I stuck to my diet, I didn’t exactly eat at regular intervals like I’m used to. Don’t know if that had anything to do with no loss or not.
BTW, if you can make it to the Museum, you should DEFINITELY go.
I gained what I lost last week. I’m up 1.6 My sister is in town and she’ll be here for another week, so my eating has been off. I’ve tried sticking to my diet but have detoured more than usual, although I’ve stuck to working out. I’m hoping that the 1.6 is not all due to my detours, I’m hoping some of it is water retention. I guess we’ll see next week. Have a great week everyone!
I am so mad at myself - I was 248 on Saturday morning, then we went to a movie!!! And my dh got us popcorn and while I tried to resist… ugh. I know that it’s pretty much water, since I always balloon with salt/carbs like that. But it’s MONDAY and I wanted to have lost weight, like I was doing, and now I look like I’ve gained.
Okay, end of rant.
Someone on my vacation noticed that I have lost weight. She pulled out a picture from last summer, and while it’s not much, 15 lbs does show a bit.
(p.s., if anyone feels like praying for her, my mom (her name is Becky) is STILL ill. The colonscopy went fine, but we’re waiting on biopsy results. She has lost so much weight and it’s not a good way to lose!)
126/116/115 No change from the last time I weighed in but the gauntlet has been thrown down by Blest to finally get the last pound off by the anniv. next week. More PT, less chocolate!
One thing I am thankful for is a godly, loving husband who is coming home TONIGHT after being gone for 5.5 weeks! hmmm…. perhaps I will get that last pound off by next week!!
I’m at 261.8 which is 3.4 down from last week. Hurrah! And that’s with life being manic lately. Will have to post more about that at some point, but anyway, yay!!!!
Oh Debs! I’m thankful for antihistamine tables and cream too! I get allergic reactions ALL the time!
216\194\145 Up. Alot. Three pounds I think. Christy and I are starting Phase 1 of South Beach today though. And we are checking on each other daily to make sure we stay the course. So, hopefully, lots of changes soon. I’m tired of being stuck and ready to actually do something about it now!
What am I thankful for? My family. Boy are they a blessing. From my hubby to my kiddos to parents, siblings and even lovely in-laws. I’m very blessed!
Congrats Nikki on your anniversary. Well done for being brave and sharing even though you were embarassed. You are on the road just by being in this group so just keep going. My weight 220/176.4/175 Down .8 Not sure if I can make the goal by next week but would like to. I know I have been below 175 on several times lately (just not on Mondays) so it is possible.
I am thankful for my family, my husband and 3 lovely daughters. We were together over the weekend which was fun with HP’s boyfriend added in as well. I love the way they take things in their stride and we can laugh about the awful stuff that is happening right now. Its ok nothing life threatening but we have bed bugs and it is not fun. Life feels in chaos at the moment. Debs has been a bit freaked out by it, well I guess we all have but life goes on.
Down one in two weeks. Actually, when I weighed myself Sunday I was 162 - does that get me extra points?
I’m thankful for life. My dear friend and co-worker died unexpectedly Saturday night at the age of 41 - not sure, but probably brain aneurism. Thankfully she knows the Lord - we work at our church.
Hurray! I seem to have un-plateaued! Down two from last week.
I am thankful for Charles Dickens, because Barnaby Rudge is an *amazing* book — have to get off the ‘puter to go read more. Also for avocado and summer peaches, and for my sweet 2yo who is picking up more words every day. And for welcome financial news — I have a fellowship for the next year, which will make it much easier for me to pursue this degree I feel called to pursue.
Ooh congratulations CJ! I’m surrounded by academics who seem to be constantly applying for funding (and hoping to become one myself). It’s good to know God’s in control, even of funding bodies.
133.6 –> down 0.8.
What am I thankful for? The faithfulness of God. My family. Um, and… the guy I’m now dating. (eeee!)

147/130/130 Yeah! Down one from 2 weeks ago. And I have seen a couple of days nearer to 129.
I am thankful for all the fresh vegetables right now. Summer is not my favorite season, but I love the fresh veggies.

Don’t be mad at yourself, Tracy. One thing of popcorn shared betwixt your family is not that bad. It’s water. Let it go…and go…and go…
