Prayer for Kaiya Rose (Kellie)

If you all could be in prayer for my 5 year old tomorrow who is having a EEG to determine if she is having brain siezers. She is not allowed to sleep but for 4 hours tonight and then we have to get he back up around 2:00 a.m., so it is going to be a long and difficult night. Thanks so much ladies(& Bird).

Update:  Kaiya Rose had her test this morning and we made it through the night.  The tech who of course is not supposed to tell me anything told me that she saw signs of seizers. She could not say for sure, but said something was for sure going on in there.  Please continue to pray as I struggle with waiting for results and being fearful.  I know she is in Gods hands and he will see us though as we have some decisions to make.  Thanks so much everyone. I helps so much to know you all are praying for her.

  7. Praying for sure. We had to keep our little Daniel up half the night one night for medical reasons. I felt so sorry for him; he was so petered out.

  11. if the “worst” happens and she does have a seizure disorder, let me encourage you. this is not the end of the world. i was diagnosed with grand mal epilepsy at 20 and have lived an completely normal life (am now 61) with 3 grown daughters. i am an RN, pastor’s wife and have worn a lot of hats over the years. i have taken my meds regularly and everything has stayed controlled except for some problems around menopause. my sister had absense seizures as a child and outgrew them at puberty. i talked to a lady this week who has a daughter with absence seizures and she said when they diagnosed her and got her on medication, she was a new person! she was able to concentrate in school and did great. there are a LOT of people walking around with epilepsy of all kinds who look totally normal and function at a very normal level. most people don’t advertise that they have it altho’ i let most people i know in on the news b/c i don’t want them to be taken by surprise IF i were to have a seizure. m
