12 weeks to Christmas Challenge

In my own personal journey I’ve been trying to come up with some short term goals that I can strive for. While thinking about this, I thought I’d see if anyone here wants to join me :) Beginning next Monday we will have 12 weeks till Christmas day. What better time than now to really buckle down and give our best efforts to work our plans? If you would like to participate in this challenge, I have a little homework assignment for you to work on between now and next week.

Next Monday after our weigh in, I’ll post asking for everyone’s “homework” to be turned in and then the race will be on! I want you to think very carefully about your answers to the homework. Once you’ve completed the assignment, post your answers where you will see them daily. Read your answers when you wake and before you go to bed. Now, without further ado….your homework:

Reasons I MUST change:

  1. example: “improve my health”

By December 25, 2006 I will: (give specific/realistic goals)

  1. example: “lose 12 pounds”

List 5 accomplishments needed to reach my Goal(s):

  1. example: “drink a minimum of 64 oz per day”

Remember, we’re not posting our answers until next Monday. Use this time to really reflect on what your goals are and how you will reach them.

So, who will join me?

Edited to add: You do NOT have to be a team member to participate in this challenge.

  2. I will join you. I think short terms goals would be good right now. I feel so overwhelemed sometimes at just EVERYTHING in life (mini whine).

  5. Sounds a great way for me to get started - I know I want and need to lose weight, but I’m not sure the best ways to go about it - this will make me think that all through and hopefully make it achievable. I’m joining in.
