It's on NOW!

Welcome Back and Happy New Year everyone!!! It’s time for the first official weigh-in of 2007! Woo-Hoo!!

marv-mon-weigh-in.jpg

Since it is a new year and a fresh start and all that - I’m going to start a new spreadsheet to track everyone. So please make sure you weigh in using that nifty little formula: original weight/current weight/goal weight. And please give me any short term goal you might have.

We haven’t had a prize drawing in awhile… we can’t start the New Year off without that! So today’s prize is a lovely photo album from K&Co. (picture to come later) T’would be the perfect place for those progress photos! Speaking of which, take one this week!!

heart.jpgToday is also the stepping off point for the Happy Heart Challenge! So start counting your points today, ladies! Remember, one point for every fifteen minutes of heart-pumping exercise with a maximum of four points per day. Log them and report them with your weigh-in next Monday. I know we have some pretty pumped-up competitors, so I suggest you get your shoes on ASAP!

Okay! Let me know you’re out there! Ladies of OWOA and friends…RE-PORT!

  1. 256.6 / 211.4 / 130-140 ~ Down 8.4 lbs this week!!

I worked hard this week and this is with AF in town! I took photos, weighed and measured on 1/2/07. I’ll take new photos and measurements again on 2/5/07.

As for a short term weightloss goal? I’m shooting for getting under 200!

I’m still going to track our team stats so here are mine…

    Ex - 5/7, water - 6/7, verses - 0 (I’m reading through the Bible this year).

    GO TEAM G.O.A.L.!!!

  2. 144.4 / 139.0 / 120-124 — down 2.3 pounds this week!

I’m going to continue to weigh-in as I did before, with the weights from my (fun Tanita) scale right when I wake up and, um, with no clothes on. My WW weights will differ slightly from this, which I’m ok with.

Short-term weight-loss goal? 134. Since I have at least 20 pounds to lose, I have mini 5-lb weight-loss goals/rewards for myself. Now that I’m below 140? I get to use some of my Christmas money to buy new workout clothes! Just in time for the competition…

Blair, here’s my team stats (and ps - great job this week! keep it up!):

ex: 0/7 (this was hopefully the last week that my aching foot/toe keeps me from moving my body), water: 6/7, verses: 0 (I’m also reading through the Bible this year!)

    Happy Monday to all!

  3. AWESOME Anne!!!!!!!! Looks like WW is workin’ for ya!

    Comment by Blair — January 8, 2007 @ 7:22 am

  4. Let’s see:
    151/146.5/132

This puts me at no change since last weigh-in. But since I know I gained in the interim, I am glad to be back to where I was.

    And Blair? Weigh-to-go, girlfriend:)

  5. Go Blair!!

    Here are my stats:
210/190.6/160 - I’m down three big ones! I have also officially hit the twenty pounds lost mark! (Actually, at my heaviest I was about 212, but I’m going with my doctor’s number of 210).

My short term goal is 185, hopefully by the end of the month.

    Comment by Jana — January 8, 2007 @ 8:09 am

  6. Way to maintain Laura!!! That is a huge accomplishment!

JANA - Awesome Job girl!! 20 lbs down is FABULOUS!!!

    Comment by Blair — January 8, 2007 @ 8:13 am

  7. 215/202/160

I don’t know how much I gained, and I don’t want to know! But the holidays are over, and my birthday is over, so all my excuses to cheat are gone. Moreover, I’m going to Virginia on vacation in February and I’d like to lose 20 pounds by then. It might be too high a goal, but it doesn’t leave any room for cheating and I need that.

It doesn’t help that my cycles are so messed up. I’m late, and I am so swollen that I know a little of my gain is water weight.

I’m so out of the water/exercise habit. Many thanks to this group for the kick in the pants to get back on it!

    Comment by Kimberly — January 8, 2007 @ 8:27 am

  8. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

260/249/130, and short term goal is 245. I switched to five lb goals for now. I maintained over the holidays - woo-hoo! I don’t think I’ve ever done that! But I am thrilled to still be at 11 lbs down and to still be in the 240s. Onward! I keep telling myself that this is THE year! OWOA is helping to do it too. Thank you all!

    Comment by Tracy — January 8, 2007 @ 8:42 am

  9. Waaah! I want to win the prize … oh well, baby is growing, so I’m gaining … it’s all good. :) Way to go y’all!

  10. Can I join you ladies?

I’ve been browsing the site for a while and love the commitment to fitness as well as furthering your relationship with the Lord you all have.

So do I just jump in and post?

    270/268.5/249

Just starting our so nothing further to post - for now anyhow.

  11. So everyone is down except for me. Alas that WILL change this week!! Let’s see here: 212/199/145
    That’s up 4 #…don’t ask…
I have changed my longterm goal to 145. My dr. said that as long as I get to 150 or less he’d be happy. My final weight goal may change here of there. I’ve only ever been 150 when I was anorexic/bulemic so I didn’t look like a healthy 150.
Anyways. Short term goal is to get to 185 by Valentine’s Day.

    Comment by Tami — January 8, 2007 @ 9:36 am

  12. 163/155/140

I revamped my goal. I was figuring my BMI and I would actually be within range by 145 so I decided I would shoot for 140 instead of 135. I managed to maintain for the whole holiday season and did not gain one pound. Now, I am ready to get that last 15 off in this new year.

One issue… I am still fighting an ear infection and cannot exercise until pain subsides and my balance is stable again. I get dizzy just standing up too quickly with these things. So, until further notice I am not exercising this week. Sorry… *shrugs*

Oh, and welcome back Blest… :)

Welcome to Anne and Bethany, too!!!

Way to go Blair & Jana!!!!!

Woohoo Tracy & Lady Laura for maintaining… feels great doesn’t it??? ;)

(((Stephanie))) love ya girl and that precious little life, too!!!!!

(((Kimberly))) you can get back on track girl - this is your week!!!

(((Tami))) great goals and you are ripe for change this week, too!!! You can do this, too!!!!!

  13. 212.8/164.4/135

Down 4.4 since my last weigh-in on the 18th. Not bad for almost no exercise and 8 days+ sitting on my rear in the car.

I can’t wait until I’m well enough to exercise!!!! Argh!

  15. Oh, I’m feeling grumpy and uninspired today. The holidays were up and down between 139 and 140 the whole time. I like the idea of focusing on exercise. I’m just struggling with time issues.

Today… the scale says 140, but I’m sure it’s because we had pizza with the neighbors last night. Tomorrow it will probably say 139 again, because that’s what it said a couple of days ago.

And last week I exercised twice. I’m working on getting a few more days in this week.

  16. Hi, I’m Sarah.
My start weight and current weight are 126
    My goal weight is 110.
I’ve done my 1 hour of exercise for today.

  17. YAY Sarah!

  18. Hi Sarah!! Hi # 395231!!
Please continue to track along with us.
Ladies, I can’t tell you how excited I am. This weigh in has already been incredible! Let’s keep that new year’s energy going!!

    Comment by Tami — January 8, 2007 @ 11:58 am

  19. I’m tracking mileage right now, and not weight, but I wanted to stop in and be y’alls cheerleader for a moment. *grins* You ladies are doing so great, and it puts a smile on my face to hear of every little pound that you manage to work off. You’re doing wonderfully! With a new year, I hope that you are even more invigorated and excited about better health and fitness. *big hugs* You guys are just great!

    Comment by Jenna — January 8, 2007 @ 12:12 pm

  20. LAst week I was 270.8 this week I am 269.0
Yay! I wasn’t convinced I’d have made it down having had two meals put over the weekend.

    so that’s
294\269\150 (ish - still thinking I’ll work that out a bit more once I get a bit nearer!)

short term goal - 260. I seem to struggle with crossing the tens and staying crossed - I’m at 269, but I know that going back into the 70s would be a very easy step. I’m trying not to get too stressed about it, cos if I get stressed I can tend to comfort eat, and that really doesn’t help! I crossed from the 280s to the 270s by way of a stomach bug, so I don’t really want that either. Just a continued steady weightloss would be perfect!

    Comment by Debs — January 8, 2007 @ 12:19 pm

  21. Hi, this is my first weigh-in with you all. I found you through blest. I just weighed myself for the first time on Friday (6 weeks post partum) so here are my numbers

    215/214.5/150 with a mini-goal of getting under 200.

Glad to join you and get to know you!

    Comment by Christy — January 8, 2007 @ 2:09 pm

  22. Okay, here goes my first weigh-in. And the first time for anyone besides my doctor to know my weight. :(

    216/216/145

I have a bit more to go than I was hoping. I don’t really think I gained weight since I went to the doctor…I think it’s the difference in the scales. So maybe from now on I’ll only see smaller numbers.

I started South Beach today! So far, so good. I’m not dying yet…although I had a tough moment when some of my students earned MandM’s!!

    Comment by Bethany — January 8, 2007 @ 3:18 pm

  23. Well good grief - I just wrote out a long comment to everyone I hadn’t commented to yet and it’s gone….argh!

It basically said….way to go, great job, welcome and yum M&Ms LOL.

I’m hoping it magically appears after I submit this but I’m not holding my breath - great work ladies!

    Comment by Blair — January 8, 2007 @ 3:55 pm

  24. Thought I would join you and weigh-in for the first time. So this week I am down 1.6 lb which is comforting. My stats are 220/194.6/175 (not quite certain of the goal yet). And I got some compliments today which feels great. Debs is encouraging me to drink water and I am getting better at it I think but I forget to log it properly. Exercise - what’s that? Must get back to the swimming at least. I love reading all your comments. Well done all of you and thanks for the encouragement of being in this together. I’m Debs’ mum by the way and i am so proud of her for getting us both on South Beach.

  25. 174 / 160 / 135

I am posting the last weight I had recorded — when I got on the scales this morning they got stuck at 40 pounds and are still there lol…

trip to wally world in the future for new scales….

    Comment by Maria — January 8, 2007 @ 5:13 pm

  26. I’m sorry I didn’t weigh in this morning, ladies - I had to drive two hours and take my daughter to the orthodontist to get braces on. We were gone all day - and since I weigh first thing in the morning, and naked, well it didn’t happen. I’ll weigh in tomorrow - I know that puts me out of the running on points this week, but since I haven’t started my exercise routine again after the holidays, that’s okay. I’m heading to the pool right now!

    Comment by Carrie K. — January 8, 2007 @ 7:16 pm

  27. Well you guys have encouraged and motivated me so much I am going to take the plunge and do my first weigh in too!

What an encouraging group of ladies.

  31. 210 - 181.8 - 140 - I’m up 2 lbs. Sorry I didn’t weigh in yesterday…I had to be at work all day for our Staff Planning Day. One thing that is interesting to me is that my weight has been fluctuating between 178-182 but I think I’m still losing inches. Right now I’m wearing a size 12 skirt and my size 14 pants are getting looser. I need to start doing my measurements again to tell for sure.

    Comment by Mandi — January 9, 2007 @ 1:28 pm

  32. Hi Ladies,

I’ve been following your progress and cheering you on from the sidelines (What! you didn’t hear?!). I’ve decided to join in the comments section. I started going to the YMCA with the kids in November. Right before Thanksgiving, they started a competition to maintain or loose weight during the holidays. That’s the only reason I know my weight. So here’s my stats:
    194/188/145
I also earned 4 points today at the “Y”. I think being a part of a competition will help me to stay focused. We don’t have scales at the house so I’ll weigh in on Tuesdays after I work out at the “Y”.
I look forward to cheering you on from the comments section. Thanks for the inspiration!
    Blessings, D’Aun
P.S. I found this site from blest’s other site.

  34. I’m late, I’m late —- for a very important date.

My weight is the same…. no move up or down (bleh). My two wonderfully fabulous younger sisters (21 and 23) came up for a SURPRISE visit on Sunday - oh my, the fun! They just left and can you believe I took off of “life” (except for my family of course) for almost 3 days!!! Whoa nellie!

Excellent kudos to everyone - y’all are doing great! :)
