  1. 144.4/141/124

Which puts up 1.2 pounds after a week-long cruise and a week out of town at a conference for work — which is ok with me! Now I’m back home and can settle back into a routine, and I’ve learned that I have slightly more self-control than I knew :)

    Happy weigh-in day to all!

  2. Good for you, Anne.

I am down 2 pounds this week!
I accumulated 14 points for the Heart challenge of which I am particularly pround:)
What else are we supposed to be reporting? Are we not doing that team thing anymore?

  4. 200/188.4/160

I’m up 1.8 pounds this week. At least I know why - a not very well behaved weekend including going out for pasta and eating too many snacks on a night in with my friends. At least I’ve not put on more than I lost last week.
I’m putting myself back to Phase 1 for a week and then trying again for Phase 2, learning from this week, i.e. start with small amounts of the right carbs and keep away from the chocolate.

  5. Starting over - how many times must I do this before I “get it”?

SO here we go again - 275/275/250 . Short term goal for the time being. I’m beginning to think taking the Pill has aided my weight gain in the last year. For year and years I leveled out at a hefty 256 - and stayed there. This year I started the Pill and crossed that threshold.

Anyhoo…new Nordic Track Elliptical will be delivered tomorrow. I promised myself that this is IT. Once I have the elliptical in hand (been waiting 2 weeks), I’d use it for 20 minutes a day minimum, 5 days a week.

    Wish me luck!

  6. 147/139/130 no change.
    16 exercise points.

This is the most exercising I’ve done in months and it feels good. My health club’s Around the World Challenge starts today - going for the next 8 weeks.

  7. 212.8/160.4/135

No change… I’m thinking it’s the imminent arrival of you-know-what. That and four consecutive nights of really crummy sleep. (hubby out of town and sick toddlers in my bed)

    12 points

  8. 294/268/260 (short term goal) which is (I think, correct me if I’m wrong Blest!) 1.2 down from last week. - I’m still tired, and trying to keep all those numbers in my head was tricky!

    Only 10 points this week.

  9. whoa… where is everyone?

    Comment by Anne — January 29, 2007 @ 11:58 am

  10. Beats me… it has been strangely quiet around here for the last few days. Even with the “party” - not nearly the response I had hoped…. Ah well. Waxes and Wanes, dontcha know!

  11. I was wondering where everyone was too. Hey Blest and Anne, how are you guys doing?
    Maybe I’ll write a post..

No change this week, but I can feel a change in the way my clothes fit, so something good is happening!

And 19 points for me this week.

  14. 264/252.8/130 (250 short term)

    down .2 lbs. okay…

two big changes in my life this week
    1) I started going to a church study/support group for weight loss, which meets every Monday. We’re going through Lose It For Life.

    2) I joined Curves. I’ve gone there before and liked it a lot. I joined up for a year with a monthly bank draft, so now I have to get my money’s worth. I do better with people around me exercising too.

exercise points - I’m not in the running, though I did 8 points this week.

  16. Don’t lose courage Natasha - I’ve had lots of weeks like that, and you’ve just gotta put the last week behind you and say ‘this is a new week, with new opportunities to make great decisions’ - pretty much what I need to say to myself every week actually, cos I’ve never had a perfect week yet. But we’ll get there, one weigh or another!

  17. 194/183/145

Doing the happy dance (imagine Snoopy dancing - ears flapping and feet moving so fast you can’t see them!)!

I lost 5, yes count them, 1,2,3,4,5 pounds this week!!

O.K., O.K., I didn’t do South Beach exactly, but I limited my carbs to “good carbs” and ate lots of extra veggies. The family mostly didn’t rebel. My husband fixed his version of “oatmeal cake with the kitchen sink thrown in” in the microwave for dessert for himself and the kids when they wanted dessert. I stayed out of the kitchen and let them enjoy!

Food is tasting great too! Now I’m inspired to try to eat more low carb dishes and stay on track, budget wise, at the grocery store tomorrow night. I have to say that having the right snacks on hand for the afternoon slump helped tremendously.

    Thanks for the inspiration ladies!

  18. Ha! I am so not a contender! 2 points this week. I’m also recovering from the stomach flu, so while my current numbers are 215/209/150, which is down 3.5 pounds, I’d expect that I wouldn’t maintain all that loss. We’ll see!

    Comment by Christy — January 29, 2007 @ 3:40 pm

  19. My points! I fogot to add that I have 14 points for last week.

    Thanks!

  20. 216/199.5/140

Down 3.5! And broke the horrid 200 lbs.! I’ve been wanting to do that so badly. Before I became pregnant the third time I was inching (pounding?) my way towards 185 and was horrified! I couldn’t believe how big I got while pregnant. This was my first experience over 200 and NOT pregnant (although I only got over 200 with this last pregnancy) and I did not like it!

So, my exercise is terrible. I only have 8 points again. My knees just stopped hurting (still not sure what I did because I’ve never had knee problems before). I guess I’ll have to eat humble pie after that post I wrote! I’m sure it’s South Beach friendly! :D

  21. Go D’Aun and Bethany!!! We might even forgive you for leaving it so late in the day to weigh-in (it’s nearly 11pm for me - Talking of which, I ought to be in bed!)

  22. I am posting so late but it still Monday! Our desktop totally crashed on Thurs…dear hubby got my laptop up and running Thurs evening however he brilliantly decided on Fri. morning to cancel internet service since it was getting ready to go into a new billing cycle. He figured he’d order an air card…grrrrrrrrrr………ah well, we got the air card this evening and I am now up and running.
212/192/185…no loss this week…lets go with you know what came and I got the tummy bug with it this time

    exercise 4/7
    water 7/7
    memory verse 1

Happy Heart - 12pts (ouch!!! so much less than the previous weeks! ah well…better get back on track this week now that I feel better)

  23. I was down another 2.5 on Sunday. I want to start exercising more, but my energy seems totally zapped in the evenings and I am NOT a morning person! Maybe its just the nasty weather that has me feeling blah!

Now slash me in 1/2 ;)

  25. Sorry for being late - crazy-busy day, plus not feeling real great. No exercise points this week, I’ve been fighting a nasty sinus thingy that has affected my ears and makes me dizzy. And no change in my weight as a result.

    Comment by Carrie — January 30, 2007 @ 8:24 am

  26. up 6. I am so sick of being sick. I am actually sick of everything right now. I’m not doing well at all right now. off to find a tissue…

  27. Now Debs, I try to post first thing on Monday mornings, but I have to get to work. I always check to see if the weigh-in post is up, although I don’t expect Blest to have it up by 5:30 (and she’s an hour later than me as well!)I always post as soon as I get home from work. I thought about posting at work but I hate to waste everyone’s tax dollars! Well, maybe not yours…but all the American chics that blog here! :D

Hope all you sick girls start feeling better real soon!!

  28. Hehe Bethany! It just felt like really late for me, cos it was past my bedtime (I was meant to be getting an early night!) But for you guys it was only really the middle of the afternoon\early evening. I don’t post my stats till I get home from work, because when I go to work some of you might not even have gone to bed the day before. Oooh, the more you try to figure it out the more it gets even more confusing I know that on the days I’m looking after the little one (and a bit more flexible than when I’m in school) there’s not much chance checking OWOA till after 2pm (for me) which is 6am (blog time - I know some of you are different to that…)
Ok, enough already. See, I also have a tendancy to babble when I ought to be in bed (10.30om for me right now…)
    Must go to bed
