I was uploading pictures onto my knitting blog earlier and was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Here’s a photo of me from June last year and one taken yesterday. Different clothes and pose and stuff, but I can definitely see the difference. Yay! I’m wearing that jumper from the first picture today and where it used to be close-fitting, these days it’s decidedly loose.

Aright… what does “jumper” mean over there? Cause over here a jumper is like a sleeveless dress designed to have blouse or shirt worn under it. I’m thinking you are referring to a “sweater” ?

Yes, British jumper = US sweater. And from your description US jumper = British pinafore. Oh, the wonders of language!

Bekki–you look great!
And I much prefer pinafore to jumper. ‘Jumper’ has so many negative connotations (among some), but ‘pinafore’ sounds lovely.
