I did it! I signed up for Podfitness! Yesterday I did my first podfitness workout. It was a cardio program which used my bike, hand weights, and some calisthenics. It was a LOT of fun! The two big advantages I can see to using podfitness are 1. Your workout is mixed with the music YOU choose and 2. It’s a great boredom buster! After 7 months of primarily working out on my bike, I was getting realllllly bored. Even the videos were only a slight remedy. But having my own music pouring into my ears while a trainer exhorted me to push myself…this was cool! Plus, the workout had the element of surprise. I had no idea the voice was going to tell me to hop off my bike and do some weights, then jump around, then back on the bike, then off the bike….! See what I mean!
Now there are some slight drawbacks. One is that you can only use music you have burned into your computer off of cds. iTunes purchases will not work unless you first burn them on disc, then burn them back into your computer. (has to do with song format…) Another is that some of the exercises I was told to do were too hard for me. But I simply modified. And there is a feedback section where you can tell podfitness what you do and don’t want to do again - so this problem should be short-lived.
Overall, I’m very pleased!
Oh, and I didn’t just sign up for podfitness….

Exciting, huh?! I know I’m psyched!! I will say though, there are some technical glitches going on at the site…so you might want to wait a few days to sign up. The deadline to get on board is April 29th. Wouldn’t it be AWESOME if one of us won?! (like, oh say, ME?!)
Oh how awesome! That’s great that you signed up Blest! I’m going to check it all out!

Do you think it’s worth the $4.60/week? That’s $55.20 for the 12 weeks of the challenge…
Don’t get me wrong — I think it’s a great idea, and I’d looked into it myself. I just couldn’t decide if it was worth the $$

See…I think this is cool for you Blest! It’s just an area that quite frankly doesn’t interest me. I dunno…one is the money thing. Two would be my lack of interest in technology. It would be way cool though if you won.

Well Anne…it is worth it to me! But I think that’s because of where I am in the journey. I know that these last 20 can potentially be the hardest and I don’t wanna get stuck. I think this will really push me! Besides, I’ve made up my mind that I’m in this to WIN. $55 to get $50,000 and a spokesperson gig? Works for me! Even if I’m just a runner up - that’s a thousand dollars. And if I’m none of the above… hey - I’m having fun!

Ok… so thank you for all the props! And, yes, Jim and I are here to help anyone along the way. Let us know which type of workout you want and we’ll give you ideas on which trainer will be appropriate for you. Just make sure you start through our websitehttp://www.podfitness.com/jimryno because Jim will get credit for reaching out to people. You can then pick any trainer you want. NOTE: Jim’s weight loss routine is for beginners (home or at the gym). There are more advanced workouts on there and even body building workouts. Jim is more of a body sculpting / weight loss type of trainer.
