Okay…so I was just talking to my friend Kellie (who will hopefully be joining us very soon! ) and she has lost TWENTY pounds since January 5th! YAY Kellie!
Well, she was at church last night, working in the nursery, and a co-worker of hers noticed that her rings were looser. Kellie modestly told her of her recent weight loss success.
“You’ve lost twenty pounds?” says the woman. “Well. You sure are fat!”
!!!!! !!!!!!!
What say we form an OWOA posse and teach this woman a little something about speaking the truth in love?!
Alright ladies, let’s show Kellie some love here today!
Grrr.
Well done Kellie! You’re doing brilliantly! Keep it up and don’t let anyone discourage you.

Go, Kellie! Don’t listen to the idiots.

Oh Kellie…sigh.
20 pounds is awesome!!!! It’s taken me about 2 1/2 months to loose 20 pounds. Weigh to go!

20 pounds is a lot! Way to go Kellie! I’ve only lost 9 pounds in 6 months!

Well, now. I am in shock that that woman said such a thing!
20 lbs is a lot and something to be proud of. Weigh to go, Kellie:)

I remember when I had lost about 15 lbs. I took my son to his music class and one of the boys said, “Your mom is fat.” — to which my son replied, “well, she’s not as fat…” At least they had immaturity as an excuse. Kellie 20 lbs is a BIG DEAL!!! I’d have used my newly slender hands and whomped her upside the head.

Oh man ((HUGS)) Kellie!! 20 lbs is a big deal - don’t let inconsiderate people make you feel otherwise. I’ve had some horrid things said to me over the years (some even behind my back that my MIL felt I needed to hear…nice huh?).
I’m sorry that woman was so rude ((hugs)).

What an incredible feat of self-control for you Kellie! (What a serious lack of it for your co-worker). I hope you let it slide off as easily as the pounds. You go, girl!

Kellie that’s fantastic. Big hugs. Kepp up the great work

Just in case it wasn’t clear, I meant the weight-loss not the comment! The other woman was probably just jealous

Ladies, thank you so much for your words of encouragment. I am just taking my frustration of rude people out on the tread mill, instead of them. I have been following you all for several months and you have all inspired me.

Go Kellie on the treadmill!!! It’s amazing what it’ll do for you…okay, time for some yummy dark strong Ethiopian coffee
Comment by Tami — February 15, 2007 @ 2:45 pm
Kellie, Major props on not knocking that woman in the head. Definately take out your frustration of the rude on the treadmill instead of them - then you land in jail and horizontal stripes are NOT flattering to ANY figure, unless of course you’re Twiggy!

Oh! I think that woman is tempting fate to say such things! Sheesh!! And twenty pounds is awesome!! You totally rock. So does your attitude about taking your frustration out on the treadmill. Ha! You go girl!
*walks off muttering about stupid, inconsiderate people*

20 lbs is 80 sticks of butter… the mean part of me would want to dump that on her front porch. But that’s not nice, not is it?
You’re doing great - 20 lbs.. that’s a LOT!
