Yep that’s right…”You’re a fat burning furnace”
Okay ladies, I have never ever seen any Denise Austin workouts. I don’t think I’ve even seen her anywhere but the cover of videos and dvd’s. Today I decided to try her Boot Camp Total Body Blast.
If you want someone that is super chipper Denise would be your gal! She told me that I was a “fat burning furnace” which I do believe will be my new saying when I’m pushing my bum on the treadmill (or outside since the weather is getting nicer (YAH!)). Since this was my first time doing the dvd I was a bit lost throughout it. She goes from one thing to the next. I am so used to Billy Blanks or Power 90 showing you what to do and then going hard into it. Honestly when I first finished the dvd I wasn’t sure what I thought but now I think this just may be what I was looking for. I’ve been wanting to get up with my hubby (5 am) and do something just to get my blood pumping in the morning. This just may do the trick. No, Denise will not take the place of my jogging/power walking but I do believe I will make room in my life for her.
Oh…. I also just got a Denise Austin cardio-dance-type DVD. Now I’m looking forward to it even more

I’ve had a couple of Denise Austin work-outs in my day. My husband has even tried them with me. She’s just too perky for me. Her saying that we latched onto is, “Beautiful, you can do it!” Even if we are doing terrible, my husband and I will say, “Beautiful, you can do it!”

As a long time Denise fan - if you can get through her sugary facade there is some good there. My first video was a stretching video and even though it skips I still use it. Her workouts are what I always fall back to when I’ve injured myself and need to start again (it’s Tae Bo that usually is the injury culprit - but I love Billy too!)
