Lamentations 3:22-25
The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
”Therefore I have hope in Him.”
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
Good Morning Ladies!!! Every day is a new day - isn’t it marvelous?! Let’s praise the Lord in our weigh in today. In addition to leaving your numbers, write something that you are praising Him for in the comments!
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Thought I would pull a sts despite my b-day celebration but AF showed early and I’m up 6.2 this week…nice. Anyway - will get rid of the bloat and hopefully be back under 200 next week.

I am down .5 this week so 151/143/132 for my stats.
I am praising the Lord for sunshine after a rainy, cold weekend, fresh coffee after a night of cat’s bawling in my face, email with which to finalize plans for the women’s retreat, my handsome son, the fellowship of believers, and a church that preaches the Word of God.

Down 2.6 pounds!! Granted, I had a 1 pound gain last week. I guess doing some sort of exercise most days of the week actually makes a big difference

Down 1 pound. These last 3 weeks have been a nice trend.
Praising God for a great time skiing on Saturday… and his faithfulness… and this weight loss journey. I never thought I would be able to do this. My husband even told me this weekend that he is proud of me. That felt good.

210 / 173.2 / 140 - I’m down 1.6 this week. I’m praising the Lord for my sweet husband. He has been going through some really tough stuff lately. This week he went out and bought candles for our bedroom (they were the kind we used to light when we were dating) and we started doing intimacy exercises. Every night we pray together, then we pick 2 feelings and share when we recently felt that feeling….then when was the first time we remember feeling that feeling (you can’t use your spouse when talking about your feeling though). Then finally we share 2 nurturing and praising statements. I tell Jeff something I love about him and then he says “thank you” and then he goes and we repeat.

I’m praising the Lord for giving me strength last week in sticking with the weight loss journey, for my wonderful husband, beautiful daughter and all our family and friends.

I am praising God today for the gift of life, for being surrounded by supportive, loving friends and family, and for the fact that it’s only barely snowing right now since I have to go out in it.

198/191/140. Down another 2 pounds! I am thankful that I can have a fruit and a carb today! My mom goes back to TX on Wednesday. I am so grateful for having her to myself for 3 weeks, for all her help in my home, for glamming up together to watch the Oscar’s, and especially that she has not had a cigarette in 3 weeks! My mom rocks!

212/189/145…up 1 pound!
I’m not beating myself up about it but am discouraged. I am on some meds though that they said might make loosing weight difficult and I’m in Blair’s company with bloating AND I have been taking cold meds for a few days now. Did you ever see on there that if you are on a low sodium diet then you should consult your doc before taking?
I am so thankful for the Lord’s promise that he is with us always. At times I feel like giving up this journey but I know that God is with me and will help me push through if I allow him too.

200/180/160. Down 2.2lb. Hooray, I’ve reached my first short term goal and I’m halfway to my long term goal, in weight, though not in time.
I’m praising God for all the little things that made me happy this weekend like wholewheat blueberry muffins, trying on pretty dresses and buying new clothes.

My praise:
Looking at the fresh blanket of snow (an extra 15 inches, on top of the foot we already had), it reminded me of God’s redeeming love, covering our sin and yuckiness. Just like the new snow covers the dirty snow. I’m so thankful for God’s love!

And I am praising God for His HEALING! I’m finally over my allergic reaction, and on top of that, I think my ankle is finally fully healed and I can start going full-out on exercise again. Yay!

275.5/270.5/up? down? - no clue really!
I’ve been vacationing and without power/internet for 3 days. I’m praising the Lord for supplying all my needs - despite the power outage, we were never cold due to use of our fireplace and we had enough food in the house to keep us fed.
I fear I may be developing diabetes based on glucose readings throughout the day - time to reclaim my health! I will not accept being diabetic! Off to search for what to eat on a diabetic diet….

Up One. Grrrrrr. I know it has to be fluid. Got that female thing going on and my tummy is “poochy”. Basically, when I look like I’m in my first trimester, I’m retaining fluid. (is that true for you guys too? Does it tend to go on your tummy?) But I’m still annoyed. Ah well. Lots and lots of water today….
I praise God for sunshine - and all kinds of weather. For music. For arms and legs and eyes and ears that work!!! For my friend Heidi who is in His hand and is still alive and seems to know what’s happening around her. For my wonderful church where the Word is preached. For a fabulous unexpected date with my hubby last night!! For laughter! For the urge to exercise! Oh Father in Heaven you are GLORIOUS and we Praise YOU!!

I was in such a hurry this morning (running behind) that I forgot to post what I’m praising the Lord for….
Erik’s job, slowly crawling out of debt, children, unconditional love…
Also, my great grandfather passed away the day before my birthday (I was unable to attend his funeral yesterday) - please keep my family in your prayers as they process their grief. My great grandmother is still living (now the last of my “greats”).

I am praising God for a sense of humour…
My scales seem to have gone mad. In the past there have been some days when you have to maybe weigh yourself 2 or 3 times and check you get the same numbers each time, and then occasionally you have to step on and off more like 4 or 5 times. Today I stepped on more like 20 times, because there just didn’t seem to be any consistancy!
So I know that I’m down, and I’m going for 264.8 as my reading for today since that was probably the number that came up most, but so did 265.8 and 263.8, so 264.8 seems to me to be a good average! I haven’t weighed myself for a couple of days either, so I can’t go on that. I think it might be getting time for a new battery, and maybe to ban anyone else from using it (I’ll make my Mum get her own!) in the hope that it will be less confused!
Um, so if I take 264.8 that’s
294/264.8/260 (short term goal).
Last week I was 267.4, so that’s 2.6 down (maybe! )

163/150/140 (or somewhere between 135 and 140 is my goal)
I have been holding at 150 for three whole weeks. I have also been very ill so no exercise. I am not doing the challenge just ’cause I have not been able to shake all this illness since November and I need to just get well and get past allergy season before I feel good enough to really do some damage. I am gardening and doing small things like dance pad and playing with the kiddos. I am thankful for new mercies EVERY SINGLE MORNING!!!!!!!!
Comment by Leann — February 26, 2007 @ 2:28 pm |Edit This
220/190.4/175 No change so a little discouraged but hey its not going up. And see Debs comments about the scales. They have seemed a little mad lately giving wildly varying readings. I really can’t see why she should ban me from using them though. Can’t get the logic of that one.
Today I am praising GOd for the weather (beautiful sunshine and I got the washing dry) and for loving me whatever. Actually several things frustrated me today and I could feel myself getting crosser but then I remebered that somtimes we need the challenges to train us how to react. If life was all plain sailing how would God develop our characters.
Well done everyone even if you went up this week. Remember God loves you even though he knows all about you and me. He knows when we cheat but also when everything seems against us despite our best efforts. I am glad that I am loved by a God like that, aren’t you.
Comment by elly — February 26, 2007 @ 2:49 pm |Edit This
About the scales thing - it’s just Debs’ logic. I’m trying to think like the scales so see why they’re going weird. I’ll let you all know how it goes!
Oh, and just a special Woo-Hoo to Kat for being down loads this week. (and lots of others of you, but Kat’s caught my eye!)
And Blair, I’m thinking of and praying for you and your family. And I’m sure you’ll have lost all that weight again by next week

No change whatsoever.
My praise is that I was able to go to Curves 3 times this past week. I am hoping to continue that trend.
Also praising God for the SUN. I am loving the advent of spring here (I live in the South, and it comes a bit earlier than where I used to live upNorth, and it’s so nice to feel some warmth again).

Okay I am a week behind — but that is okay — I WILL catch up!
174/168/125 — I only gained 8 pounds back during my lull — which is great I thought it was more than that. I am back on track with my eating and getting there with my water. Exercise is next on my list!

Talk about wacked out scales….I have you all beat!! On Thursday night I weighed 190. On Friday morning I weighed 188 (boy was I psyched!!) Then Saturday morning I weighed 199!! Then I went down to about 197 Saturday night, 196 Sunday, and today 194. Is that nuts or what? And, for no reason in particular. No AF. No cheating. No starving myself. I don’t get it. But at least I lost some. Finally!
Woo Hoo to all you ladies who lost and exercised hard this week! Weigh to go!

So many things I’m thankful for. I’ll just list a few. I have hands down the most beautiful family!! I have a home with the bills paid and food for all those beautiful people running wild in it. Oh My God is sooo good, and yes praise Him, His mercy is new every morning!
