Oh. I had soooo talked myself into a roll for dinner. A crossiant. And then I had to go and read Blair’s post about cheating on your diet!!
I wouldn’t say I’ve been depressed about the last two weeks, with no weight loss (and a one pound gain!!) but I definitely have been discouraged. I had about decided it wasn’t worth it. I was about to give up.
Then I came home and read that wonderful post of Blair’s! And then I got on the scales (that I’ve been avoiding like the plague all week!) and guess what? I had lost seven pounds!!
So, needless to say, the roll wasn’t even a temptation any longer! I cooked a few extra veggies just to make sure I’d have plenty to eat and didn’t feel deprived while my family happily gobbled up my share of rolls! And I’m so glad now!
So…all that to say this. It is worth it. Even when you seem stuck, hang in there! It’s soooo worth it!
But just as an FYI, you might not want to get lost in catching up on comments on OWOA while boiling veggies on the stove. Just something that occurred to me, um, for no reason in particular! Nope, no reason. *slinks off to vigorously scrub saucepan*
Awesome job, Bethany!! So proud of you:)

Isn’t it funny that we want to give up when we FEEL like we are failing even though we KNOW we are not?
Kudos, Bethany! What a great example this is for me to follow!
