Hello to the new women in my life! To officially introduce myself my name is Mandi. I am a 28 year old mommy to 4 wild and crazy boys. I’m married to my big, strong, protector Jeff who will be turning 35 next Saturday. I’m also going to start homeschooling this year so I am way psyched about that. I work part-time at a crisis pregnancy center supervising our peer counselors (and doing alot of counseling myself). I can honestly say that I came to this weight loss journey as a broken and defeated woman. Out of that brokenness have come some really wonderful and amazing things for which I am so grateful for.
I am using the Setting Captives Free plan to get my eating under control. I have been on the program for about 3 1/2 weeks so far and have lost a total of 17 lbs. I still have about 50 lbs to go so I am in this for the long haul!
My goals are….
1. to glorify the Lord by offering my body as a living sacrifice unto Him.
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18
2. to be in a size 12 by Christmas.
3. to have energy to keep up with my boys.
4. to relieve some of the pain/fatigue associated with my rheumatoid arthritis.
5. to be able to run a mile.
6. to be a hottie for my husband. ;O) (I’m already hot but it is due to all of my “insulation”)
I also wanted to say that you are all amazingly beautiful women! Not one of us is valued based upon the circumference of our thighs (for some reason I have to keep reminding myself of this). I have been so encouraged by each of you already. It is my prayer that I would be able to reciprocate that encouragement. Seeing women lifting up one another is such a blessing to me and surely it is pleasing to the Lord. Thank you so much for letting me part of this journey with each of you.

Welcome, Mandi! And I do believe we have a preponderance of boy kiddos on this blog. Anyone know the stats - boys to girls? I have one girl and three boys.
