Meet the Tanita Scale plus Body Fat Monitor with Body Water %. I think I’ll just call it Tanny for short. And if I have issues with it, I’ll be having a Tan-trum! My husband and I just got it programmed. I’ll weigh on it officially in the morning at my usual time. But I’ll have to adjust my goals since I’m betting the reading will be different than the other scale. My body fat percentage was, of course, horrifying. And my body water % was a little below normal. (must. drink. more. water!) The good news is that if I see that number jump up, I’ll better understand if the weight jumps up too.
The most ….grffffing…part of this first weigh-in was having my husband weigh in right after me. His body fat percentage is 15.1%. Right smack in the middle of healthy. If I didn’t love him so much, I’d hate him. As it is, my first short term goal is to weigh less than my husband. (which will take a few months to accomplish) I have never weighed less than my husband, and he’s 10 inches taller than I am! Marines! Sheesh. But hey, if we were paid to exercise and ordered to take an hour or so every day at work to do it, we would all be in fighting trim too, eh?
Cool, can I come over and use it???

Oh I love my Tanita (and some days hate it too). I really like the accuracy. Of course, when I got mine it weighed me a horrifing 10lbs MORE than my old one - ACK!!!
Oh that’s one thing I liked about being in the military - I was on the early shift and yes, they give you an hour a day for working out. I bargained with my superiors and was allowed to cut out of work an hour early each day to run. It was awesome!
Erik and I were just discussing this the other night how we were both in better shape when work required it lol (you know those fitness tests you have to take annually and whatnot).
