I really really liked Lorri’s post about how she tracks her weight daily on a chart. I liked it so much I decided to make my own chart to use (see link below). I realize not everyone weighs themselves daily and if weighing daily affects your day, don’t do it. I keep a weekly weight chart and a monthly measurement chart already. I hadn’t considered graphing my daily weight fluctuations.
To me, weighing frequently shows me that my body weight does fluctuate on it’s own despite what I’m doing. I loved Lorri’s thought that even with fluctuations we need to be seeing a downward trend. So, since I made a chart for myself, I thought I’d share it with you guys so you could use it if you wanted. Click here for Lorri’s example. She highlights her short-term goals - cool idea! I think it will be neat to see when my cycle most messes with me as well.
Happy Tracking!
Tracking usually does help me not put so much emphasis on the scale ~ otherwise I’d be all bummed out about a 2 pound gain, forgetting that a few days before I was down several pounds.
On a good month, I reach my short term goals and need a new chart for the next month. On a stagnating month (usually when I’ve stopped putting forth effort), I may use the same one for a couple months in a row.
