As Brandi said in her previous post, we’re doing this Southbeach “the Blest way,” that means no cheating!
With that said, this is an exchange I had with a gal at work the other day:
Chick: We’re going to CiCi’s Pizza, do you want anything?
Me: Nope. I can’t have anything from there.
Chick: Why not?
Me: I’m doing Southbeach, remember?
Chick: Huh? Are you still doing that thing?
You see, this chick has tried many diets herself, but has apparently abandoned them in favor of pizza and other goodies. Hopefully she’ll be inspired by my weight loss pretty soon. 
Then there was this other chick today who said, “How long are you going to be doing that diet?” I said, “Until I’m skinny.” She was shocked! Maybe she thought, “This dude’s so HUGE that’ll take years.” I don’t know, but I explained to her that my goal is sometime around late August to September.
So, all you folks out there in the same boat, keep doing that thing you’re doing! And stay away from the Peeps this weekend, peeps.
I can’t decide whether it’s more appropriate to laugh or cry when people say dumb things like that…as if you should get over it and just give in!! It is funny….
I’m glad you’re still doing “that thing”! You and Brandi are doing a GREAT JOB!!

Good job! I know that if I cheat JUST ONCE, it can take weeks to get back on my diet…

Peeps are these disgusting little Easter candies. They are made out of some kind of marshmallowy stuff and coated in sugar. They come in shapes - traditionally little chicks - and are much more fun to look at than to eat, in my opinion. Personally, my faves are Cadbury Mini Eggs and malted milk Robins Eggs….but naturally I won’t be eating them this year!

Thanks Blest. I really don’t think we have those or at least not called peeps. I do adore Cadbury’s cream eggs though
