Well. I only wish I could share with all of you the glorious experience I had last night. It was so sparkling. So colorful. And it stayed with me long after the fleeting moment had passed…
I got hit smack in the kisser with a bucket of confetti.
Yup. I was sitting on the front row at the Kids’ Day play, waiting patiently to direct my Singing Sailors in their next number, when POW! One of the characters ran to the edge with a bucket of “water” and absolutely nailed me. It was supposed to be flung high and drift down over several pews. Yeah. Uh-huh. Instead it was dumped straight down and I got the motherlode. Our senior pastor almost choked he was laughing so hard! Actually I thought it was pretty funny too. I only wish I could pass it on!
Here’s hoping your day is sparkling and full of surprises! Now WEIGH IN!!

I am down another 1.2 this week! Woo hoo!
The 160s are in sight! That’s my goal for next week - break into the 160s.

Down 1.8 this week. I really, really want to land in the “below 136″ category soon, since I’ve been fighting to get there for so long! Granted, my eating hasn’t been quite “on plan.” So here I go… off in search of a good-eating week!

tee hee! Sparkly Blest!

Down 0.8 which I’m slightly suprised at, given the number of ‘indulgences’ I’ve had this week. Perhaps I was being too hard on myself and actually did better than I thought, although I definitely had too much cake on Saturday night. On the other hand, I got more exercise than usual since I wasn’t stuck at a desk all day, including a day of walking in Devon, followed by an evening of jive, which left me aching and realising how unfit I am. So I am pleasantly suprised, but also resolved to go back to ‘zero tolerance’ and not slip into bad habits and to build some more exercise into my routine. I’m going away for a long weekend walking in Wales in a couple of weeks and if I ache after one day of walking, how am I going to feel after 4?

Up another pound. I guess I’m eating too much, but I didn’t *feel* like I was. Yes, disappointing, but really I am so proud of Bird that I’m not dwelling on it. I am going to try to have a loss of some kind for next week though! Might be tough since we will be on vacation for 3 days at the beach but I will try!

Another reason why you can’t always trust the scale:
Like I said, I’ve been wavering back and forth for the last month or so, hovering between 136 and 138. Now, every time that I hit the low end of that, I’ll try on a few choice articles of clothing that I really, really want to fit. And this morning — one of them did! My grey “business” pants. They were still too tight last time I was on the lower end of the hovering, and today, they’re appropriate!! Hooray.
The moral of that story is: keep exercising and don’t let yourself get too caught up in the number on the scale
Happy weigh-in day!

210/169.6/135 - I’m down .6 this week. I’m happy that I was able to maintain my early weight loss in the week b/c I could not work out on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday due to the craziness of life. Was there a challenge this week?

It show’s no change, but Saturday’s weight was 182. The last two days I have bloated up awfully! I’ve eaten Chinese inspired meals for a few days and I think I’ve had too much soy sauce So I am hoping to bring the bloat down and possibly enter the 170’s next week!

Up 2 this week, oops.
Main thing is lack of exercise I think although some indulgence over the weekend. I am ill and can’t shake off this thing. Chest infection which doesn’t feel better yet despite a week of antibiotics. Am going back to see the doc tomorrow.
Have been taking stock. Ok lately has not been good, last 2 weeks I went up but overall I have lost 35 pounds since early October when Debs and I started this thing. I am much slimmer, getting compliments all round on the weight loss and feeling better about myself. I now have not much to wear but at least it narrows choice as Debs would say.I have been ruthless and chucked things out even though a little bit of me says maybe I should keep them just in case. Wearing something that’s too big doesn’t feel good does it. Actually some things have gone to Debs for her to shrink into on her way down but lots are just not her thing so have gone to the charity shop next door (very handy that).
So am going to keep at it and be encouraged by you all. Look forward to hearing how the rest are doing.

My weight has been waffling 2-3 pounds all week. Too much bread this week. And lot’s of weird dreams that don’t provide good rest. Stress? I didn’t think I was stressed. Plus, I need to get back on a more regular exercise routine.

Kimberley. You’ve been doing so well the last few weeks. I know that going up 5 is not a good thing, but tell yourself it’s not gonna hold you back this week, turn the page for a new start a new week, and see how this week goes.
Is there anything particular that we could pray for you at the moment? How is the settling in to a new home?
We love you Kimberley.
Big hugs and prayers being sent your way.

295/265/260 (short term goal)
I’m down 1 this week. I know that I haven’t done well the last couple of weeks, and I’m gonna write a post about it either today or tomorrow. (That was down 1 after going up about 5 last week, so yes it’s down, but the way I was eating and not exercising I didn’t really deserve it!)
But this is a new week, and I’ve made a good start so far today - I went swimming before work this morning. I totally lost track of how many lengths I swam (after about 6 I think - I’m so not good at counting when in the pool). But I swam for 25\30 minutes, and it felt good

Down 1 this week. I was away this weekend at a gathering where I couldn’t control all my food, (i.e., someone prepared lasagna for us for dinner Fri. night, potato & egg casserole for breakfast Sat. - you get the idea) so I ate off-plan. I’m so surprised I lost anything at all! I don’t believe my diet is more important than being polite and thankful to others who cook for me, so I don’t worry about eating off-plan under circumstances such as this past weekend. I wouldn’t push my luck every weekend though!

216/189/145 Down 1.
I worked with a personal trainer on Friday, and he showed me what I needed to change about my exercise in order to lose weight. I’m hoping it makes a difference. I was shocked that I started working out like a fanatic but didn’t really lose any weight.
I’m looking forward to next week’s weigh-in to see if it made a difference.
Comment by Bethany — April 23, 2007 @ 3:15 pm |Edit This
Bethany, I’d be interested in hearing what your trainer had to say. What did he suggest to do in order to help in losing weight? I workout 5 (sometimes 6) times a week for about 50-60 minutes and sometimes I wish that it made more of a difference than it’s made up to this point.

215/211/150-
Which is up two from my last official weigh in, but that was three weeks ago. I think I gained two during the two weeks we were traveling, and then maintained it this week.
Yesterday I did great being sugar-free! Today I had quite about more dark chocolate than I should have. I think probably about 3 times as much!!!

Thanks Debs… I’m just really feeling down and lonely right now, and yesterday I felt sick as well, and then hit my head and had a headache all day. Being a single mom really sucks, especially since I’m working full time…
