I hate waiting (Blest)

You have to read the title with a fake Spanish accent - sounding as much like Inigo Montoya at the top of the cliff as possible. If you don’t know what I’m talking about…I’m not ’splaining.  It would take too long. Let me sum up…

Since Friday a tummy bug has been making its friendly way through my home. It started with child #3, then #4, and expeditiously hit #2 and #1 on the same day.  All are well now except #1, who thought he was better yesterday but has relapsed today.  And now…

I don’t feel quite right.

I’m all suited up to exercise, but something tells me…either that burning in my tummy, or that faint whirly-twirly feeling…that perhaps I don’t want to be all vigorous and active today.  But I don’t know for sure that I’m getting sick either.  I’m stuck waiting. Do I eat?  Do I not? If I do get sick, do I allow myself the traditional ginger ale? (probably not) I dunno…   I’ll tell ya one thing, if I’m gonna get it,  I want to get it TODAY.  The rest of the weekend is way, way too busy.  And I have a coupla decent sized obligations at church.  Nothing will crumble without me, of course, but it’ll throw some monkey-wrenches into events if I’m out.

The only upside is that at least if I get this I should be rid of some pesky fluid build-up!

  6. Diet Ginger Ale. The fizzies will help settle your stomach. Just ignore that it’s diet. :) Hope you don’t get sick. We had that go through about 2 weeks ago - I lost 4 pounds. :)

  7. Maybe it won’t hit you hard! Mine never went past that shivery tummy feeling. Although I was looking forward to losing the two pounds I put on during my two weeks in hotels!

  9. Well…the pain increased as the day went on. By mid afternoon I was feverish and by evening I was HOT HOT HOT. Lovely high fever. Lots of pain. I finally got sick - but I’m assuming you don’t want details.  I slept really well though, and today I’m just weak with the occasional pain. I think I’m on the mend. I’m just going to take it easy today and eat really light.

I didn’t want to get sick - but I’m really glad that if I had to that I got it over with. I didn’t want to spend all weekend wondering… Tomorrow, we have Sonatina Festival - where the older two play for a judge - in the morning and rehearsal for Kids’ Day activities at church. I’m the Kids’ Choir conductor. Then Sunday I have to rehearse the kids more during both services, and I have a solo in the third service - then the actual Kids’ Day program goes in the evening. THEN my parents arrive mid-Monday for a visit! (WOO HOO!) So somewhere in the midst of all of the weekend stuff, I need to be readying my home for guests! So you can see why I wanted to get it over with…
