Prayer request first:
Most of you probably know that I look after ‘the little one‘ one day a week. (Used to be two days, but now it’s one). What you may not know is that his Mum is pregnant, and is in fact now in the hospital being induced. (A bit more info on that can be found here andhere) I just got a text from little one’s Dad saying that things have slowed right down and asking for prayer that the baby could be born tonight (right now it’s 9.50pm for us). I thought that not only could I pray, but that I could get some other lovely people onto it as well. So if you have a moment please spare a thought and a prayer for them. And I promise to update you as and when I hear anything.
Now for the spunks:
Today I looked after the little one and this morning when I picked him up from his home his paternal grandmother remarked that the weight had just fallen off me since we last met, which was really encouraging to hear [In case it sounds odd that I was looking after the little one instead of her, I left her to do a tidy up on the house and get things ready for when mother and baby come home, something many of you will realise is ten times easier when there isn’t an active toddler under your feet!]
Then later, when I took the little one home again, his Nanny and Grandpa (maternal grandparents) got back from visiting his Mum in hospital, and his Nanny couldn’t stop commenting on how different I looked and how well I was doing, and asking me how I’d done it. I told her all about south beach and this website (not easy to explain to a woman who freely admits technology is not really her strong point!)
UPDATE: Baby girl born at 3.25am weighing 9lb 2oz
