If you get up at 4 . . . (Blest)

AM that is,

Do you get extra calories for the day?  Cause honestly, doesn’t it seem like if your day starts that early you oughta get an extra meal?!

%^#&#$ alarm system.

I mean, I’m glad I have it.  But it went off at 4 and my hubby wasn’t here…so I just turned on the coffee, dragged out the beads, and went to work with the phone right by my side.

It’s not even 9 and I am soooo tired.  Of course, doing a thumping mile and a half on the treadmill didn’t help.  But I had to.  Cause I did, that’s why.

At least I’m putting off my arms and abs til tomorrow.

Don’t look at me like that.

  1. sounds like we both had short nights. I didn’t get up at 4, but didn’t get to bed until 2! I was out babysitting which somehow turned into a longer evening than I had expected!

  2. I never stay out til 2. My body can’t handle it. I turn into a total pumpkin. Even for the Marine Corps Ball - which is our big date of the year, we only stay out til 10-11pm.

I am a lot of wild and wacky things…but night owl is not one of them.

  3. Well I was told it wouldn’t be much after 11, and then it just kind of got later! To be fair there was a problem with trains I think, so she was later than she expected, but still it was more than late enough! Not to mention dealing with a candle ‘incident’ earlier in the evening.

  4. And I thought I was up early at 6! I didn’t get to sleep until 1:30, and I wasn’t even doing anything exciting, just watching an old Fantasy Island.

Um, I’d say absolutely you get extra calories for the day!

  5. I am all for an extra meal. I mean come on, you need more energy to get through the day, right?

  6. Yes, at the very least you should get an extra snack…I mean how many more calories do you burn per hour just by being awake vs being asleep?

And what is a “thumping mile and a half?” Sorry, I can be slow…

  7. A thumping mile and a half means I walked on my treadmill with a vigor which belied my exhaustion! All hail the mighty iPod which fooleth me into thinking I have energy!

    I thought that was caffeine’s job? ;-)

  9. Ok, got it…I hope you can rest well tonight!

  10. This job was too big for caffeine. Caffeine merely kept me mildly conscious and breathing. Too make me move required music…which will be explained in my next music post!

Got more sleep last night - though I’m still not quite caught up.
