Weigh, Weigh, Weigh your B—

Turn your numbers in!

We can cheer each other on

While we’re getting thin!

(that’s to the tune of Row, Row, Row your Boat in case you missed it  )

Good Morning! Sorry I’m late…kinda groggy around here this morning!

We haven’t had a prize drawing in a while…. Hmmm. How ’bout some tunes? dance.jpgToday’s prize will be a cd of Blest’s best boogie songs - all the stuff that makes me get my groove thing on no matter what kind of mood I’m in.

  1. 135.4 — down 0.2!! I was a little concerned that last week might’ve been a fluke and that I might jump back on the 136-137 seesaw, but no — I’m down a touch — hooray!

  2. Mornin’! Afternoon here, of course.

    200/167.4/160

Down 2lb. Hurrah! Right, now I’ve got to not let one good week make me complacent and make this a good one too. I’m actually going to go swimming tomorrow morning. My friend L who lives down the road from me quite often goes swimming before work, but hasn’t for the last month or so due to an impressive gash on her leg. Now it’s healing up nicely, so she’s back swimming and I’m going too. It’s harder to duck out of doing something when you’ve promised to go with someone.

  3. 215/176.5/160 Down 2~ sure don’t deserve it though. I’m gonna set a short term goal of 6.5 pounds in 2.5 weeks. Which means I may actally have to stick to my diet and get some exercise this week….

  4. 143/128.5/120ish
    down 1.5 (lost the water ;-) )
Been doing well on most parts of my challenge…my nibbling is down but not gone. It is such a HABIT and I HATE being hungry…even if I know I will eat within the hour. And I only exercised once…better week coming :-)

  5. 239.8/221.8/200
    Up .6

Grrr, still not out of the 120’s. Well, I hope that it’s because it’s that time of the month and that next week I WILL be out of the 220’s.

It’s probably also partly due to the fact that I fell off the wagon a little this week. Stress, lots of stress! I would like to ask for prayers. I could really use them. The rumor mill at work got started this last week and it spread like a wild fire regarding layoffs. We’ve been through this before, but this time it’s different. I’m not sure how stable the company is. So, if you remember, during your prayer time, please say a prayer for me. Thanks in advance!

Next week I WILL be out of the 220’s!

But… we had a nice weekend out of town. It was good to get away!

  7. 198/187/140 - up 3.5 grrrrr! I worked out like a madwoman this week and I ate pretty good! My calves are solid chiseled triangles. I’m gonna keep doing it ’cause I feel good, but, well… grrrrrr!

    Comment by missy — June 11, 2007 @ 8:18 am |Edit This

  8. Missy, I know the feeling. Maybe the weight gain is due to some muscle gain, hormonal stuff…whatever it might be…keep up with the working out. Hopefully next week it’ll all balace out and you’ll be back on track!
    You go girl!

  12. Down 1.6 which is good. We had a great weekend of hiking and swimming as a family.

  13. 210/167.8/135 - I’m down .4 this week. My scale likes to play tricks on me. Every Sunday I am down 2 lbs and then on Monday I am magically only down .(something) — My body is definitely stuck in the 165-168 range. I’m going to be trying some different things this week to get down past my body’s set point. I’ve done a bunch of reading about this and am going to implement some new strategies. We will see how it works out next weigh in!!

  14. 170/165.5/120

Mandi! I always am down on Sunday and up on Monday too…. maybe the Lord is just gracious to us on Sundays… maybe our hearts are lighter!

I am down a little this week. NO THANKS TO MYSELF! I have absolutely not stuck to my plan. Stress and breastfeeding are the only thing that are keeping me from gaining!

I haven’t really excercised since I issued the prayer walk challenge. I am such a loser! However… I have read everyone’s posts and plan to pray accordingly the rest of the week.

Thank goodness our God is mighty. Char

  15. 212/183/145ish up 2. My weight is finally leveling out. It has been so frustrating the last two weeks. Hormones man! My blood work came back good though. Hopefully next week will be down. Work, work, work

  16. up 4.8
Due to not getting enough sleep, eating loads of carbs over the weekend. Not exercising. Need to make good choices this week.

  19. 220/175.8/175
Down 2.8 which seems a lot but I ‘m taking it. Lots of spunks. It’s weird how people at work keep commenting. I feel good and know I am wearing smaller sizes but it amazes me that it is that noticeable. I was also asked if I am managing to keep it off. Well up till now I have been still going down so I said I would get back to them on that one.
Debs and I plan to swim first thing tomorrow. Not sure I am good at the morning thing - I will miss a lie in but she neeeds the encouragement and we both need the exercise.

  20. Elly,
you wrote “I will miss a lie in…”
    Can you clarify please.

    Comment by Tami — June 11, 2007 @ 2:55 pm |Edit This

  21. Sleeping late is what a “lie in” is. (Right?)

    Comment by Anne — June 11, 2007 @ 2:57 pm |Edit This

  22. I mean that on Tuesdays mornings I don’t have to get up to go to work because I don;t start teaching till 1pm. Hence the opportunity for a ‘lie-in’ or sleeping later than usual. I know you mums with young kids don’t get one(been there done that). I get the chance on a thursday too. Trouble is because I have to teach in the afternoon there isn’t really time to stay in bed long or I get nothing done with my morning. So really getting up to go swimmng with debs just saves me time later.

  23. 249.6 :-) made it back to the 240s. I think it’s about 2 lbs off this week. I’d have to look at last week’s weigh in. I was trying to focus on other things this week other than the numbers and I think it paid off.

  25. 216.4 (new higher starting weight)/214.4/150

Down 2! Yay! I have been doing pretty good at the challenge stuff this week, except that we have indulged in some ice cream the last 2 afternoons as we’ve been unpacking in the garage and outside, and the heat index is over 100! Ick.

Down two. I’m glad I’m back on the losing track. ;-)

  27. Ok, yesterday I knew I deserved to be up, but up 4.8 seemed a lot.
I weighed myself again this morning (tuesday) and I am still up from last week, but only 1.2 (so I’m down 3.6 on yesterday). I reckon is freaky fluid stuff and won’t beat myself up about it too much.

    Comment by Debs — June 11, 2007 @ 11:18 pm |Edit This

  28. Oh, and just to clarify - it’s not that Elly sleeps really late on a Tuesday or Thursday, it’s more the fact that she doesn’t have to be out of the house and teaching by 8am.

    Comment by Debs — June 11, 2007 @ 11:30 pm |Edit This

  29. Yeah, water does weird things to me too. I weighed myself several times over the course of last week and concluded it was probably not so helpful to do so because of all the fluctuations. Even weekly weigh-ins can be misleading sometimes. It’s the long term trends, steady decreases over a month or two for instance, that are most meaningful.

    Comment by Bekki — June 12, 2007 @ 4:32 am |Edit This

  30. 126/118/110 - down 1 from last week and a few from the last time I actually weighed in.

    Comment by Sarah — June 12, 2007 @ 3:17 pm |Edit This

  31. No change. Feeling a little discouraged about doing the right things and not seeing it on the scale.

I ran 2.5 miles tonight with no ankle pain at all — that’s good news.

    Comment by CJ — June 12, 2007 @ 8:09 pm |Edit This

  32. Ack. Was yesterday Monday? VBS and doctor appointments for the bambino have me bumfuzzled. I’m down one. :D

    Comment by Bethany — June 12, 2007 @ 9:44 pm |Edit This

  33. I don’t have a scale, so I can’t actually weigh every Monday until I get one, but I’ll fill you in on my latest numbers. It’s been about 2 weeks since I was last able to weigh. I think I’m about the same or down another pound or two.

    175/154/130ish

If you look up the Hacker’s Diet, they have free excel downloads that let you track your weight loss, so you still weigh everyday, but it averages it out, so you can see a downward trend.:) Once I get a scale, I plan on using this.

  34. Hi. I’m Nikki and am so excited to have some accountability to help me lose this weight!!!! I am a 28year old mother of 3 in California. I want to lose 25 lbs to start, then re-evaluate.

  35. Nicky and Patricia, not sure I’ve noticed you both around here before, but it’s good to have you with us

  36. Thanks Debs. Can I ask what might be a really dumb question? Why does everyone have 3 numbers for weight? My guess would be where they started, where they are, and where they want to be?????? Anybody…I haven’t been here before, but Blest encouraged me to come over from her other blog. I figure any accountability I can get is good.

  37. I know you asked Debs- but I think she’s asleep. She’s in the UK - different time zone, dontcha know.

    You guess well, youngJedi.

    starting weight/current weight/goal weight

And Welcome to you and Patricia!!

  38. Thanks! In that case I am starting out with 185/183/160. I’m hoping that I will be 160 by the end of summer. That would be great!!! It would also be 5 lbs less than what I weighed when I got married. Of course then I was more toned and now I have a lot of what I like to call…Mommy mush! How fun. I’m so excited!!!!!!! I will most likely change my goal when I get there, but I am one who will give up if the goal is too high. I also am 5′8″ and built kinda big, so 150 would be really thin. We’ll see.
