If it's not CHALLENGING (Blest)

It’s not a Challenge.

Keep that in mind as I announce this week’s challenge.  I’m announcing it early so you can get to the grocery store today if you need to!

This week’s challenge, which has been percolating in my devious mind since the beginning, is the FIVE A Day Challenge.  Uh-huh…. You know what I mean!  This week, you earn the bonus point if you get five servings of fruits and veggies* per day for at least five of the seven days. (see, I’m not without mercy, I wanted to make it all seven!)  Now before you get all freaky on me, let me direct you to this marvelous post which explains that getting five servings is not as hard as you might think.  Some of you are probably doing it already and don’t even know that you are!  Oh - and here’s the government site encouraging 5 a day, looks like it might be a handy resource!

Anyway.  All you have to do is eat ‘em eat ‘em eat ‘em all up.  Then you can just tell us you completed the challenge in your weigh-in the following Monday.  No official post necessary!  However, if you come across any yummy new veggie recipes in the process, please share!

*I mean five total servings of fruits and veggies combined, not five of each.

  1. For an example of how easy this can be, I offer up this interesting fact. Given that beans count as veggies - my favorite lunch of Pintos and Rotel Tomatoes is aboutseven servings of vegetables.

  9. I don’t always eat as many as I should but that’s not cause I don’t love them!! This will be great for me to make sure I eat more often. I mostly eat only veggies anyway. Baked veggies w/a little pizza sauce and a little cheese, Oh ya baby!!!
