Prayer Room (Blest)

It seems like we have a lot going on around here… I’m going to put up all the prayer requests I know about - if you have more, add them to the comments and I’ll move them to the main page.  Let’s lift each other up today!

Anne…peace with her recent breakup

Bethany…Praise for improved health - and continued healing

Blest…healing for her knees; peace about not being able to workout (I’m really, really upset about this); good decisions about the site and other stuff

Debs…Migraines

Kellie…health and finding a new home

Karen..sick kids

Mandi…son Joshua has bipolar - need prayer for efficacy in treatment and strength and wisdom for Mandi and hubby.

Philippians 4:6,7  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

  1. Praying for each other is one of the things that makes OWOA such a good thing to be a part of. Ladies, I’m standing with you and praying for you.

  3. Thank you for posting this in a succinct place! I was lying in bed this morning trying to think of all the recent prayer requests and I’m sure I was forgetting someone.

As an aside, when I inconveniently wake up too early to actually get up, I tend to get busy brain. I lay in bed thinking and worrying about everything and then I’m exhausted later in the day. So, something that I do to help me get back to sleep is to pray for people (I’m NOT saying that praying bores me!). I think it is a constructive way to use the time and it keeps me from wandering down worry lane and eventually I do fall back asleep. And sleep is important.

  4. I could sure use some prayer regarding my son Joshua. He was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Pediatric bi-polar disorder. We were fortunate to get accepted into a study that is testing a medicine called Abilify (an anti-psychotic) for the FDA. We have to go up once a week to Cleveland (a 1 1/2 hour drive each way with 5 kids in a van). Joshua is slowly starting to show improvement; however, most days are still very trying. Part of bi-polar is being super aggressive. In the past 2 months he has grabbed butcher knives and “pretended” like he was going to stab my 2yo in the skull, he has put plastic bags and blankets on top of the 1yo, he has drawn pictures of himeself “ripping out the throat” of my 9yo. Add to this the hypersexual behavior and it is enough to about do me in most days.

I will also be praying for all of you!! It seems most of us need prayer for improved health and our relationships. I’ll be lifting you up today as I run on the treadmill.

  6. I’ve heard that Kellie is okay, though she could still use prayer. I’m sure she’ll update us soon!

April 8-11- Househunting for buying our new house
    May 18- Move date
June ?- We just found out that my husband will be deploying within weeks or even days of our move. We don’t know where yet. He’ll be gone for 6 months, home for 10, then gone for another 6.
