I have been doing a lot of power walking this week which in itself is nothing new. Except for the frequency–6 days this week! (Ah, Spring, how I do love thee) This time around I have been really concentrating on my posture and keeping my arms a’swinging. Let me tell ya, it has made all the difference in the world!
I feel it in my abs, back, and arms as well as my, uh.. lower regions. I do find it hard to maintain at times, especially on the steep inclines; I find myself all slouchy and when I remember to stand up straight and pull in my core, the going is easier as I have more power behind my movements. I hope against hope that keeping a strong posture will become habit, but if not, I am thinking about investing in a good whalebone corset for my workouts. Wouldn’t that be cute?

I have terrible posture…and always have. It’s something I really want to work on. It makes such a difference in how you feel and how you look!! I have been trying to pay more attention to it when I work out too!
