Survey sez...

Good Morning! And how was your weekend? Mine was busy! A graduation, a wedding, church, a cookout… Whew! I need a day of rest to recover!

Anyway, it’s our special day here at OWOA. That day when, from coast to coast and across the pond, we step on our little square friends and see what’s what weight-wise. You know the deal! REPORT!!

  1. 215/179/160 Down 5.5 lbs! WooHoo! Exercise is spotty at best, working on the water, and really trying hard to stay on the diet. And it’s official, I now have a boyfriend!

    I am down 4.4 pounds this week! I’ve also lost 1.5 inches off my waist! I’ve been doing something new, which I will share about when I get a chance.

    Up 1.2lb. That would be almost all the weight I lost last week, straight back on again. Grr. I’m getting a bit frustrated. I’ve been hovering just above or just below 170 since Easter. It’s not like I don’t know how to do it right. But then I have weeks like the last one when I’m tired and grumpy and end up eating the wrong things just because.

    On with this week. I’m going to take it a day/week at a time and keep on slogging. Goals for this week:

    Stick to the Beach Phase 2. (I know I can do this now)
    Keep cycling along the river to work (and mostly on the way home too).
    Go swimming before work once this week. (I’d like to build up to 2 or 3 times a week, but I’m not there yet.)
    Get enough sleep (I’m more likely to eat the wrong stuff when I’m tired).

  4. Congrats Kimberly & Jana!!!! I am with you Bekki… I am the same as last week 167 completely because I won’t take the trouble to actually stay on the plan! I am glad I have not gained.. but very disappointed in myself.

    My goals this week are to log into WW and record everything I eat and stop this chocolate nonsense! Surely I can go a week without chocolate? A day? An hour? My other goal is to excercise and not to worry about what form it takes just do it. char

    I know I’m not really gaining. I can’t be - unless it’s muscle (which is possible). But I am REALLY annoyed. I can see the finish line but….

    up .5 To be expected after a 2.5 loss last week (huge for me) I am still lovin’ the beach :-)

    Blest–you are gaining muscle! And since you are so close to goal, you are not losing as much fat (as compared to the muscle gain) so be encouraged…I know the scales can be deceptive but you know you are shrinking. We are all cheering you on!

  12. Scoop?! What scoop?! (hee hee) I met him at church, and his name is Mike. He’s been pursuing me for about 2 weeks, and he finally called and asked me out on Saturday. He’s 6′5″, and I think he’s handsome. He’s hearing impaired, so he can hear a little with his hearing aids, but he’s brushing me up on my sign language and phone calls have been replaced with text messages. My girls really like him, or I wouldn’t be dating him. We’re trying to take it slow…

  13. I’m up 2.4 this week, like Blest, I know I cannot be gaining fat. I worked out 6 days this week for 1 hour and have been keeping my calories between 1400-1500/day. I’m drinking tons of water…..ughhh. It is frustrating to be working so hard and not seeing results on the scale.

    Also, are we checking in with Happy Heart points this week? Or was that just a one week deal? I haven’t seen anything posted on it so I wasn’t sure if it was done or not.

    And Kimberly, let us know if we can support you with prayer in your new relationship!

    I still haven’t found my scale. I think it and my kitchen boxes must be at the very back of the garage where we cannot yet venture. Audrey is almost 6 months, though, and I am actually excited about cutting my calories down to 12-1300 soon!

    Up 1.4 Gggrrrr

    So NOT happy about that. Granted that I didn’t have my best week food wise but I did pretty good. During the week was good but my parents were in town over the weekend and I didn’t do too well BUT I didn’t do terribly bad either. I also exercised 6 out of 7 days for 1 hour.

    I’ve been hovering around this weight for 1 month now and I’m getting frustrated with this. I’ve even been pushing myself harder in my workouts. This week has got to be better…I’m determined to get below 220 within the next 2-3 weeks! That’s it…no more up or maintaining for at least 1 month!!!

    Bekki and Charlotte…I’m with you…frustrated lately. Stick with it gals…we can do it! :)

    Blest, you’re soooo close to goal…stay focused! We all know you can do it! We always read about how hard those last few pounds are and well…I guess it is…BUT you can do it…you are almost there!!!

    Jana and Leann…4 lb losses…wowsers! What are you girls doing? Do share!

    Mandi, thanks for the ideas last week regarding work outs. This last week I kicked my cardio up a notch or two or three and I did intervals at higher resistance/speed…it felt grrrr-eat!

    Blest…when’s the next challenge/contest??? I’m ready!

    please don’t get too frustrated with maintaining in a weight range for a month. I do it routinely and yet when I go back over everything, I am still averaging a pound a week. A pound is incredible! Just think, if you lost an average of 1 a week then that’s 52 pounds down by this time next year. My doctor told me just to focus on getting 30 pounds off a year…yah, I wanted more. Keep with it girl! You are winning half the battle by constantly exercising.

  21. I was really irritated by my 2.4 increase this week. I just weighed myself before my shower (yeah I’m lucky to get in by 4pm most days) and now I am only up .6 from last week. How nuts is that??! So I think I am pretty safe to assume that water is the cause of my frustration this week. (and I’ve already drank 96ozs today so it isn’t like I’m dehydrated….) =O)

    Like some others of you feel I am hovering round this place for ages. Weekend was not too good, not awful but just a few too many ‘extras’. And I need to keep track of the water, noticed my ankles were swollen last night,first time for ages and since I am wearing support stockings most of the time that is not good. The real key though I feel now is definitely more exercise. Sorry girls but lots of working out or running are not really me although I love hearing about all your achievements. However I do think i need to do something more. Goal for this week, swim twice if I can and walk some more. Maybe even try that exercise video I did way back for an OWOA challenge and haven;t done since. Actually it is a short week for us as we have a church weekend away from Friday till Sunday.
    And I am very excited as my hubby and I then have 2 nights on our own in B and B near Canterbury, a new bit of the world (GBritain for us). Then he has the rest of the week off as well. It is our half term holiday so no school (which is work) for me. By the way we have another 7 weeks after that before the summer break - different schedule to lots of you.
    I am unlikely to be weighing in next Monday as probably no scales. Think I had better be good about the diet these next few days in case it slips a bit while we are away.
    Must go to bed. Late posting (11.15pm) as it has been a really hectic day.
    We can do it together.

  24. Up 0.2 (136.2), which I’m ok with. That’s well within my daily fluctuation.

    This week I would like to maintain. I’m out of town for work (currently writing from a hotel room) and am going to work out and try to eat healthy. I’m surrounded by all of my favorite restaurants, so I’m just trying to make good choices and eat smaller portions. Oh, and I’m working out :)

    Mandi, you are not eating enough. (In my opinion). If you’re working out an hour a day, 1400-1500 calories is too low. Try 1800 (just for this week), with the added calories from good things like avocados or walnuts, and see how it goes. Seriously. If you eat 1800/day and burn 300-400/day, you’ll lose this week. Try it…. please! (Again, my opinion)…

    Honesty don’t remember last weeks weight. I think I stayed the same. I’m in a maintaining mode until school is out (this week.) Hopefully, next week, I’ll start working on losing again. The end of the school year is so busy and stressful!! Can’t wait for summer.

    Congrats to all you losers out there! And you girls who are going exercise crazy! How cool is that!

    And Kim…congrats on the boyfriend. Boyfriends found at church are a good deal. That’s where my hubby and I met! :D
